This book is an awesome read for anyone who loves well written crime/medical drama.
I cannot wait to begin reading the second book in the series.
I think some people that can skim over the medicalease will enjoy it too. I can't wait to read the next one!
In Seconds from Revenge a truck is described as "corpulent". The first book, at the very beginning, refers to chaotic breathing. and the childish line "Everything was just right in Evansville". Jack Norris, protagonist, has been injected with a poisonous chemical and is in a panic. His fear sends him scampering away from the hospital's main building. Picture it, this terrified man scampering! On almost every page there is the use/misuse of florid language and excessive description that distracts from the urgency or point of the circumstance of the moment.
Two years ago I had a pacemaker implant so I did appreciate the explanations about heart disease, how the heart works.& the many things that can go wrong. Good info for a heart patient.
Both book would benefit greatly by editing and removal of much of the excess verbiage.

Excellent read! Fast paced. As an RN it was fun reading a medical mystery written so accurately. But you don't have to be medical to enjoy this book. Read morePublished 28 days ago by Tammy V. Pigg

I did not finish, so I don't feel right about giving a review. I'll remain neutral because it did have potential.Published 6 months ago by Christy C. Asberry
I gave L. Jan Eira five stars for this novel. A little slow at the beginning, but picks up quickly. A no put down book, until you finish.Published 7 months ago by JoshuaJohn

The book is done in Flashback fashion so if you start the book and then leave it for a while like I did, it will be hard to remember what is going on. Read morePublished 9 months ago by P. Henri
