Insert the shy girl across the hall, who Violet makes fast friends with. The one thing I really loved about this book was the realism. Violet and Annabelle take their time with trust. I mean they’re friends right away, but it’s not like how in some people are made to act like they know everything about each other right off the bat. Both girls had their secrets.
The girls are navigating confusing waters together and become closer with each chapter. I love their friendship and their friendship with Tyler!
So, back to what I was saying about casino-night-guy… It turns out the hot guy from casino night is totally off limits, and Violet has to keep her feelings to herself—it could be a dangerous game to play with his career and her future on the line.
There are SO many layers to this book, which gives it a really real feel. From the creep, to the jerk, to the cute friend who has an jerk girlfriend. It has ups and downs; it talks about real issues young adults are facing. Once I got started I couldn’t put it down. It literally has it all. Elton Hall is a captivating journey into the pains of college and a lesson in passion. It's a book that will make you laugh, and tackles hard topics.
And somehow manages to be steaming HOT too. A must read!!!
The college campus really struck me hard in my nostalgia center as it was incredibly similar to my college campus (except for the freakin' awesome castle!), and I loved having the opportunity to go back to that time and re-walk through the beautiful outdoor areas.
I also really appreciated the way that the friendship between Violet and Annabelle evolved very naturally. They weren't best friends that trusted each other with everything right off the back, but instead had the relationship that happens when they're your first friend in a new place. The chemistry between Violet and David is also expertly navigated. Violet is truly someone you're rooting for and Professor David Berneli is incredibly magnetizing, and the passionate way that the author describes him to be just immediately draws you in. With playfully flirtatious moments mixed in with the sultry, there was no shortage of fun and sexy moments to read and I can't wait for the rest of the series!
With every touch and caress you wanted them to find happiness.
You want want to put this book down, you want any body to disturb you until you read the last word.
You will be faced with a stalker, a crazed girl who wants to beat up people and lots of jealousy not only from David but also from violet.
With all this there is a subtle romance going on in the back ground that you all have to stay tuned to.
I loved this book and it left me wanting more. It left me with a sigh of relief and a belief that love can be happy ever after
