It's look like this is her first try to write a novel. It is short, the instant attraction between H/h is cheesy and lacked depth of characters. The storyline has some good elements and hot love scenes but overall is a boring book. I was expecting more by her and I am sure that this book is an exception because I, also, just finished "The baller" and I am overwhelmed by the story.
P.S. Another reviewer mentioned discontent because of typos. Yes, there were typos. I always notice them since I was a teacher and am very aware of grammar and spelling, but, for me, the typos didn't detract from the story.
I loved Hope and Kennedy. I thought they were strong individuals and stronger as a couple but the journey was just ok for me. I didn’t feel the climatic climb. I don’t know how else to explain it.
I’m looking forward to diving back into other works of hers, but I could’ve skipped this one.
I love everything about this book and cannot count how many times I have read it. This story about Kennedy and Hope happy ever after, has every element that made me love reading all this author's books the only disappointment was there was never a second book about Garrett and Shauna nor wedding scene. I just kept going back to see if just maybe she decided to continue on with the story
I really enjoyed reading how Hope and Kennedy's relationship began and how they dealt with a long distance relationship.
One of the things I enjoy in Vi's books is that there is no major drama. They have their ups and downs but nothing that you want to slap either character upside their heads for acting dumb or blind.
Is there going to be more?
I feel cheated because even as I went to research the author & book there is nothing any where to indicate if there is a 2nd book any where...sigh
I had been searching for something with the billionaire/sexy but doesn't know it girl with passion, sizzle, anger, lust, control, fear, sex, jealousy & love ever since I had read Fifty Shades & Crossfire & THIS IS IT!
I tried to put the book down so I could make it last longer but I couldn't, thank goodness I found the authors newest book Belong to you which I did force myself to lay down in fear I won't find another book anything else as great to read.

On second asking Hope goes out with Kennedy and he takes her for an ice cream which he then watches her eat. He leaves her at her doorstep. She then receives a series of gifts from him but suffers some mental anguish when she goes days and sometimes weeks without seeing him or him making contact.
Visits to each others families cement their growing relationship but will they be exclusive to each or will pass girlfriends, secrets and difficulties prevent a successful conclusion. You can find out by reading this lovely story.
Hope is new to NYC and while on her first day of work at a hotel meets Kennedy, a wealthy business man from Chicago. Kennedy and Hope fall for each other very quickly and the rest of the novel is their sweet romance. Both have had quite a past, so they are easy, likeable characters to root for. A very simple plot, which sometimes is exactly what I am looking for, and in the case of this book works perfectly.
Even though it is not the same story line, this book reminded me of bared to you, in the respect that the characters are indepth and the love story very intense and passionate.
Both Hope and Kennedy meet and there is instant attraction that we get to see blossom as their relationship develops. Both really likeable characters and a great ending. Definately a book I would re-read
