Safety WarningKeep packaging away from children.
Caution: to prevent injury, do not use with hot liquids, do not allow child to walk or run while using cup. Prolonged contact with some liquids may cause tooth decay. Do not allow your child to bite or chew on straws.
Straws are not intended to be used as a teether. If a straw is damaged, discard immediately.
DirectionsFor best results, secure lid on cup then insert straw. Wash before initial use. Dishwasher-safe (top rack only) or wash in warm water using mild liquid soap. Rinse thoroughly. Do not boil. When dishwashing, place straw in a covered utensil basket. Cup may leak if shaken, squeezed or held upside down. Use with carbonated beverages or unfiltered juices is not recommended.

As for older kids usage. The seal is great to avoid spills, however, that means that the slightest sqeeze sends liquid up and out the straw. I would not want to give this to a child at an age that may possibly squeeze it. You may end up safer with just an open cup at that point.
Over all these are pretty good! Now if they get left behind at the park or pretty much anywhere I won't mind. No more losing $10+ sippy cups. These are great travel cups!
Pros: The cost is great; the tops have a pretty good seal despite merely snapping on, the straws are good length (I always worry about my kids stabbing themselves in the mouth with the straw.) and they are so easy to clean.
Cons: The straws are too easy to pull out. I would have given this 5 stars if they had placed some sort of ring or stopper around the base of the straw. That being said, apparently other reviewers have found a way around this by adding a clip to the straw or changing it out all together. As cheap as these are, I am not opposed to spending a little extra to make them work.
- For first time use, it was so hard for me to insert the straw into the tight lid. I tried so hard and couldn't do it. I had to let my husband do the job. Once the straw inserted in first time, next time would be easy.
- The straw was so easy for my little to pull out by teeth, then water everywhere on the floor. I wish the straw could be locked on the lid.
CONS: my toddler likes to pull off the lids, and bend the straws
So based on the cons its hard to say how useful these have been for me since the reason I got them was to help with constant spills, but how can you prevent a spill if the lid keeps coming off? I think he is just used to a regular cup. They have been pretty great however to get him to drink just water. It has been hard to get my toddler to drink anything but juice, but since these are fun and colorful, maybe having the fun straw helps, he drinks water better from these than from his regular rainbow cups.
