After much searching I found the newest Fisher pin-pointer with latest software update has the black button with red trim around the sides (Picture included). Their are pictures of some that has a red button but I was told these were just artwork of ones before they were originally released. Some are saying that the newest ones have been tuned down but I find it so far works flawlessly. I have only had it for two weeks but so far it has been great. I found no way to register it but I contacted Amazon and they said they will stand behind it for the 2 years of warranty. Will update if my review changes.

Kein sicherheitssiegel auf der verpackung! Um den schalter herum sollte eigentlich roter kunsstoff zu sehen sein. Sehr schlechte Verarbeitung. Bei der billigen kopie die ich erwischt habe ragt das gummi bis zum gummipolster hinein und löst sich schon auf einer seite. Scheint ganz billig geklebt zu sein. Man konnte durch den spalt ins gerät schauen. Auch das gummi vom griff scheint billig geklebt zu sein, an den rändern waren noch klebereste. Sieht nach billiger kopie zu teurem preis aus. Hatte leider noch kein vergleichsgerät in der hand. Aber in den videos von fisher ist klar zu erkennen wie der Pinpointer auszusehen hat.Finger weg bis geklärt ist was das soll!!?
