I sure hope FP fixed the problems with this stove. I have a kitchen full of FP appliances, and have the double oven that is the model prior to this model. It is a love hate relationship with these appliances. I like the designs. I like the features these appliances offer. And to some extent I think the build quality is good, but there is where I'm compelled to write a review on my experience with both the FP double oven and their customer service. From the beginning I've have had problems with it. I used the self clean function and once finished the oven was rendered useless. Apparently the temperature produced from the self clean function burns out the temperature element and the high temp sensor. Luckily the oven was under warranty. FP sent a "qualified" technician to repair the oven. The technician said the oven was now good to use all the functions including the self clean. A year later after thanksgiving I temped fate and used the self clean function. This time it burned out not only the temp probe but also the bake element. Luckily I bought the Lowe's extended warranty. FP sent out a contracted repair technician. The "qualified" technician I think was learning as he worked on the oven and was not familiar with FP.
I spent close to $4,000 dollars on this oven. It has been repaired four times for the the same reason. A web search indicates that that this is a common problem with the oven, lots of web hits on problems with not only with the previous model but also with the newer version advertised above. I called FP to see if they would stand behind their product. I was told that I must provide all my documentation from previous repairs of which I have, and schedule a repair call.

I agree with the other review. I have had my Fisher Paykel double ovens for about 5 years and in that time, I have had the repair guys out at least 4 times. Now, just days before Thanksgiving, I decided to run the self clean feature on my lower oven and guess what - the lower oven no longer works. A menu plan that included the use of two ovens is now impossible. That with 17 people coming for dinner. I don't dare try to clean the top oven. This was not the first time this happened, but I just assumed that the first time was a fluke. I am now looking for a replacement for a very expensive set of ovens. I need to be able to depend on the ovens to work and the repair bills are making a bad investment even worse.
