A great way to get kids in the game!
The Fisher-Price I Can Play Basketball set lets you start small (3 ft.) … and grow to tall (4,5 or 6 ft.) as your little hoopster does! And the easy-attach ball return means no more chasing the ball! When your little one is ready to move up to the big leagues, just adjust the height and remove the ball return for real basketball game play, whether it’s one-on-one or team play. (You’ll never even have to call a game on account of bad weather – just set it up indoors when it’s rainy or snowy!)
Developing skills score big, too!
Sports play is more than just fun for kids—it's a great way to encourage healthy physical and emotional development. Sports toys with built-in 'grow-with-me' features let kids master new skills at their own pace, giving them a boost of self-confidence and a feeling of accomplishment from beginner … to pro!
Fisher-Price I Can Play Basketball
Beginners start out small and pros grow up tall with the Grow to Pro Basketball set from Fisher Price. This basketball hoop starts out at a lower height for young basketball players, and grows with them as they develop their skills enough to raise the hoop. At heights of 3, 4, 5, and 6 feet, kids' developing basketball skills will have them going pro in no time!
Beginners Start Out Small, Pros Grow to Tall
The Grow to Pro Basketball set starts out at a height of 3 feet for toddlers over the age of two to start working on their basketball skills. Over time, you can adjust the height of the hoop to 4, 5, and 6 feet so the hoop still challenges kids practicing their shooting and their moves. This hoop gives kids the opportunity to work on their moves by themselves as well as with others through team play or shooting games.
Sturdy, Efficient Components Let Kids Practice with Ease
In addition to its adjustable height, the Grow to Pro Basketball set features an easy-attach ball return that means kids no longer have to chase after the shots they make. The set also features a steady base, which can be filled with 50 pounds of water or sand to make sure it doesn't tip over. This allows kids to play their hardest without having to worry about knocking over the set.
Setup is easy with included instructions, and the hoop is great for indoor and outdoor play. The only necessary maintenance is to make sure the inflatable ball maintains a circumference of 21 to 22 inches and that you do not leave the toy outside in the cold if you use water in the base.
Fun, Collaborative Play for All Ages
Our testers found that they had as much fun playing basketball by themselves as they did with their friends, and improved their skills both ways. Adult testers also enjoyed playing basketball with their children, making this set a fun activity for the whole family.

My husband unpacked and set up this hoop. It was very simple except for the large sticker in the middle of the backboard. My husband is a pretty meticulous guy and couldn't get it to adhere without bubbles and the sticker itself is not straight. A minor thing but we expect it to fit properly at this price point.
It still can be raised a level or two and it is currently taller than my son's head (and he is about 37" tall). We have never used any weight to hold down the base whatsoever (but if it was used outside, you would definitely need something)
Maybe this summer we will take it on the patio
- Height adjusts easily
- Build quality seems good
- Assembly not overly difficult
- Fun for the kiddo
- If you fill the base with water it leaks some. Not sure about sand.
- The ball return doesn't seem like it will last. It was difficult to attach and the plastic that holds it in is already looking ready to break after just a few weeks.
- Doesn't work well with a "real" basketball but great with the small rubber ball that's included.
This is a great looking QUALITY kids basket ball hoop after it is all together! My wife and I had a lot of trouble putting it together...
I had to use Vaseline and stand on a kitchen chair and lean on top of the upright and Im a fat guy! took some doing but it worked.
It is a great looking and sturdy hoop! You have to apply the stickers to the backboard which is also a pain though making sure you get no bubbles. I wish it came from the factory with them on. im going to contact the manufacture and see if I can order a second back up set because the ball hits the stickers I just see them wearing off 5 years or so from now...
This board can and will grow with my son/ur kid unlike some of the other ones out there that stay the same height. Its def worth the money I got mine on sale it was almost the same price as the competitors at the time. Looks like the price went up prob because all the good reviews... good luck and have fun!
