Our niece (2.5 yrs old) has very much taken to the responsibility of looking after "my manimals" when she comes over. The animals require food, shelter and care and she has come to believe (rightfully so) that it is up to us (her) to take care them so that they're "ok" and "happy". This is serious stuff to her, yet she is having a ball doing her "chores" on the farm.
This toy is made of good quality plastic with well applied stickers and no sharp edges to risk injurt with - what so ever.
This is one of the better toys out there that has enough pieces to play with and enough stimulus, to keep them WANTING to play with it.
Very much recommended.
My grandson (he's 15 months now) played with it for about 5 minutes, then ran to his mom to play games on the iPad. Sigh. I'm sure he will go back to it again and again.
There are parts of the toy that are pretty inexpensive plastic, and I am not sure how long it will last (like many things these days), but all the parts work.
