Fisher-Price Little People Fun Sounds Farm: The Little People Fun Sounds Farm brings hours of imaginative play from the farm right into a child’s world. Complete with adorable animals, sounds, songs and activities, this iconic toy – with its redesigned taller barn and silo – lets children play sitting or standing on all sides of the toy. Eight sing-along songs encourage role-playing and learning. There’s so much for little hands to do on this farm, and as they get busy, they’re practicing grasping skills, too!
From the Manufacturer
The Little People Fun Sounds Farm brings imaginative play from the farm to toddlers. A new, taller barn and silo make it easy for them to sit OR stand to play. Farmer Eddie and his animals provide lots of interesting things to do – there are doors that open and close with sing along songs and fun animal sounds, a drop thru silo & slide with funny sounds, a baler that tips up to deliver the hay into the top floor of the barn, a ‘clucking' chicken on her nest and even fences to create a separate corral. The barn doors, as always, open with a 'moo' or a 'neigh' and all-new songs that open a child's imagination to life on the farm. And it features upbeat day songs or slower night songs – just change the mode. Includes Eddie, a horse, cow, sheep and the chicken in her nest, plus the hay bale and 4 great fence pieces to create a whole big corral for the animals. Storage is provided in the silo plus an on/off switch let's mom guide the play.

Ladder Screws - they are located in a tiny bag inside the larger bag that holds the barn slide, fence pieces, red roof. I could not find them anywhere and had thrown all the plastic away, called Fisher Price service and then they told me where they were. You don't need to go buy screws.
Problem with the sound - I could not get it to do anything other than moo/neigh/bloop - I changed the batteries, still nothing (which was why I called service) but all of a sudden as my daughter played with it as I was on the phone it started working. Make sure the barn is seated in the base correctly and change the batteries. It is the white barn doors that make it "sing".
Overall my daughter loves it and it's cute. In my opinion, a little over priced for what you get, but it complements the other Little People items.
What I don't get with these Fisher Price toys lately is the yellow dial that changes the "time" from day to night (the doll house has the same thing). I understand the concept, but what I don't get is why they don't make it easier to turn. My daughter always wants to turn it, but she can't do it on her own so she is constantly asking for "help." (She's currently almost 17 months and she's had this since Christmas).
I'm happy to help, but if this is supposed to encourage independent, pretend play, then why include a feature that small kids can't operate?
Overall though, I do really love this toy. She loves the little figures (we have even more farm animals because we received some separately as a gift) and she loves putting objects in the silo then opening the door to see them fall out. She also likes seeing me flip the hay using the lever inside the barn (she hasn't completely mastered that one on her own yet).
Plus, we got this on mega sale before Christmas, so for $20 you can't go wrong.
This is the 2nd little people fun sounds farm that I have purchased from amazon in the past month. The first one was for a birthday present and the second is for a Christmas present. I chose to buy them because of the price discount. The 2nd package was not delivered in the original packaging. The small pieces were not contained, and the instruction manual was not in the box.
I called customer service and explained that the item in the first order was in the original packaging and the 2nd order was not (it was in a brown cardboard box). She apologized and promised to overnight a new one to me with no charge, and sent via email a shipping label for me to return the 2nd product. The 3rd one arrived the next day, but yet again, it was not in the original packaging. However, this one had the instruction manual, 2 screws (missing in the previous brown cardboard box) and again, the bag for small parts was not sealed. I therefore recommend anyone who purchases this product to print out the product description. I called customer service again, and spoke with a rep and a supervisor and they didn't know why it was shipped in a brown box. They offered a refund or discount. I told them I would think about it and call back later.
I just looked at the product on amazon's description page to see if it describes what pieces come with the product, and noticed there are 2 options for packaging: Standard or frustration-free packaging. Upon further review, I found a link that explains the difference. https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=1001340661
As a result of discovering this, I called customer service back and told then what I found. I ordered another one, (using standard packaging). They are refunding me for one and are not charging me for shipping on my new order.
If the new package arrives without the original packaging, I will change my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars.
-Our sounds are stuck in "night" mode. This seems to be a common problem, or I would return it for another. If it weren't so common, I would be confident that I wouldn't get another defective product. I will be calling Fisher Price, but am not sure what they can really do for me. Its not worth the hassle to me to attempt to exchange when the chances of getting another defective farm are so high.
-The plastic is low quality and flimsy. We have several FisherPrice Little People sets as hand-me-downs from a family friend which were manufactured around 2001. With this one, I can tell the quality has definitely down graded. The fence connectors are completely different, fall apart, and aren't compatible with the fences we already have. They bend way too easily. Not something I would expect considering the older sets we have are such good quality. I would say its not worth the $40. Thankfully, we got a good deal on it and I'm not that bummed about the money we spent.
Hope other purchasers have better luck with the sounds working properly. If you don't mind the decrease in quality, this is a fun toy that kiddos can definitely enjoy.
