REVIEW: With the Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Stand 'n Play Rampway, you'll get a 2-foot-tall racer-themed play set that will rev your child's imagination. Your kids will enjoy racing their cars up and down this easy-to-assemble track and creating their own speedway adventures. With two spiraling ramps, two Little People race car drivers, and plenty of extras, this toy Rampway will provide any child between the ages of 18 months and 5 years with plenty of fast-wheeling fun.
Kids can race through the play set with the two included race car figures. View larger.
The course features hairpin turns, curvy ramps, and other obstacles. View larger.
The Stand 'n Play Rampway is constructed of colorful and easy-to-assemble plastic pieces and includes two Wheelie cars--a sports car and a race car--with Little People characters at the wheel. Starting from the Top Ramp, the Wheelie cars zip down bright red ramps that curve through tunnels and down toward the finish line.
Because the Rampway has two spiral ramps and two cars, your child can share and race with friends. But the fun doesn't stop at zooming down the tracks. Kids can gas up their cars, take them up and down the moveable elevators, or drive them along the paths located at the bases near the finish lines. Other features include a moveable car lift and elevator and images of Little People at work and play in Wheelieville.
Sometimes the cars will flip or fly off the ramps when they're let go up top at the starting lines, but this adds to the fun and challenge your child will experience as he strategizes ways to beat his opponent. The guzzling gas, honking, and cheering sound effects add another layer of racing fun to this toy.
The Rampway includes moveable parts, such as stop signs, a gas pump, and a hinged sign that spins when cars zoom through. Young kids, especially toddlers, will be attracted to the generous size of this toy.
Eddie and the Mystery Driver DVD
The Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Stand 'n Play Rampway comes with a Little People Wheelies DVD featuring "Eddie and the Mystery Driver," a short animation based on Fisher-Price Little People characters. Children will love experiencing the world of Wheelieville, where all its citizens love to drive. The film stars Eddie, a fast and popular racer, as he practices for a town-wide race. With his best friend Freddie navigating, Eddie meets the rubber-burning Mystery Driver.
All you'll need to put the Stand 'n Play Rampway together are three AA batteries for powering the sound effects and a Phillips-head screwdriver to tighten the accompanying screws. Upper and lower wall pieces snap snuggly together and are set into the two base pieces.
The 11 ramp sections are numbered for easy assemblage. Additional pieces to assemble include the top ramp, two balconies, a car lift, and elevator.

The only downfall is that my son's only really played with it the week following Christmas. Because of that I am rating is a 4 star. My boys are ages 3 1/2 and 14 months. My kids are very imaginative so I should have guessed that they would lose interest. We purchased one of those car track large play rug/carpet/mats last Christmas and the same thing happened, awesome, but rarely played with now lol.
My 6 yr old and 3 1/2 are actually at my feet playing with their Hot Wheels on the floor, being imaginative, creating their own game/race.
If you are questioning on the types of toys to buy your young children I encourage you to instead invest in books to create them a "home library", puzzles, craft supplies, a memory game, and lego blocks. Those types of toys really help build their imagination and set them up for a bright future :)
Recommended age for this toy 1-2 years old. When they turn 3 and older They seem to demand more functions/options on the toys.
I have not had many problems with the cars flying off the track. Probably a good 85-90% of the time the cars make it 100% of the way down without issue. Every once in a while one will flip off just at the bottom of the ramp. I think that what set of cars you're using makes a difference as to whether or not flipping off with be a problem. The cars that come with the ramp and the "all about racing" set sold on Amazon do not have problems after a week of use.
I am very happy with this purchase and would be proud to give this as a gift. I do think, based on what the toy is/how it's made/what it does a price of $25 or $30 would be more appropriate than $40, but if it keeps getting played with and holds up, I'll be fine with it at this price because really good toys are hard to come by.
Kids play with it
Easy to assemble
No ridiculous packaging
No parts, other than cars
A little high priced
Wish it did more/made more noises
**I will update this review if I do start to have problems or if the toy breaks/becomes defective in any way.
For the flaws of this track, I noticed that the ramps aren't very well designed. Cars go flying off the track or flip over and don't engage the buttons that allow them through the gate or signal the gas station. My son doesn't notice so it's not really a big deal, but I hope he enjoys this toy for a few more years (and I think he will). If Fisher Price could fix the track so the car stays upright and on the track, I would definitely give this toy 5 stars.
