pros: very sturdy, can use regular size grocery bags, easy to fold legs.
cons: it is huge can never fit in a diaper bag so it is not quite portable, the seat itself doesn't fold only the cover fold n half, the seat cover doesn't snap on the seat it is kind of loose on top of it but it doesn't slip.
i've to return and look for something smaller and can be put in a diaper bag so i can use it while traveling.

My 3 year old son uses this potty daily on our many trips coming & going. We line it with a 4 gallon trash bag & a nursing pad (thanks to someone elses BRILLIANT suggestion!) and we're all set to go. I'd recommend this potty to anyone whose trying for training continuity outside of the home. Great for park days, eliminates most needs to use a public restroom (Yuck!) & is VERY stable. Another great feature is that the seat is a dual use seat for travel, topping standard sized potties found in public restrooms. We haven't used it anywhere public yet, but did try it on our home toilet & it worked great. We'll be using this for many years to come, I'm sure! 12 stars!!!!!!

We have the older version of the Fisher Price portable potty (in that version the top does not come off for use on a regular toilet.) It is the single most valuable kid-gear I have ever owned. It is great that you can use any kind of bag. We typically use kitchen trash bags, but in a real emergency, I've even used a plastic shopping bag. You can use maxi pads to absorb liquid if you want, but if you find a trash bag you find reliable enough, it's hardly necessary. (We buy Costco's kitchen trash bags in bulk, and I've never had one leak.) I saw one reviewer complain that it is large. I think this is a huge bonus, as I still use this potty for emergency situations for my 6 1/2 year-old daughter without any problem. She would crush some of the comparable products I've seen.

We use this everywhere!! I have tried the "Kalencom 2-in-1" and hated it...this Fisher-Price 2-in-1 was in a review from another user. So happy I ordered this one with the other one at a loss. This is bigger but portable enough as need be, comfortable unlike the other one. We ordered this when my girls started potty training, for emergencies but now we keep it in the car for places that don't have a clean bathroom, my girls will prefer this over a dirty public bathroom - we put all the seats down in our mini-van and its like their personal bathroom! We also used this camping, make a separate section off in the tent for late nights and when they couldn't walk far. As for the top attachment we use it in the house or even when visiting friends.

Also, you can definitely use regular plastic bags and just put paper towels for absorption but I order the "Nature Reward Toddler potty chair liners" they are cheaper than the ones sold for the fisher price - it fits and works just the same.

I have owned this for over 3 years now - definitely worth it!

This has been soo useful for us. We leave it in our van and use it as a "vehicle potty." When our 2 and 3 year old randomly proclaims they need to potty, it allows us the convenience of pulling over and letting them do their business even when a restroom is not nearby. When we ran out of the bags that came with it we just use doubled grocery store bags and place a paper towel in it first. We also learned the hard way that inspite of the fact that there appears to be no holes...there still might be so we put a small waterproof pad under it so if it does leak it does not get on our carpet.

My mom got my daughter this potty when she was potty training 2 years ago. Looking forward to using it now with my son. Excellent option for little ones just using the potty and for keeping handy on long car trips. Its convenient that the seat comes off to keep little ones more clean and comfortable in public restrooms as well. Highly recommend!

This portable potty has become my new best potty training friend. I can set it up on my car's seat or trunk floor (it's an SUV), and it's comfortable for my daughter to sit and go right there with some privacy. This has made it possible for us to go to the playground or stores and not have to worry if there will be a bathroom there! I also appreciate that I can use almost any plastic bag for this, and the top seat doubles as a public restroom seat. Super user friendly!

Great for on the go or for the beach. And the topper part is great to throw in your bag to take to restaurants and places your kid will have to use the bathroom. I leave the rest of the potty in my trunk for any road side emergencies!
