What I love about this set is that the track doesn't easily come apart so I'm not constantly having to fix it. My 2 year old loves it and can play with it for a surprising length of time. Our other trains work on the tracks and he prefers to push them himself. We now use it as one of his tracks since expanding the number we have for variety and he still gets a lot of use out of it.
I haven't found anything to build onto this or expand it which is something to consider. I think for the price that isn't a problem in my mind. That said, this alone can get boring after some time so it's worth mentioning. This is a great starter set! Not great for the kid who already has a few though. I love it as a first track only.
