A 30 year vegetarian, I find myself missing the taste of fish once in a while. Have looked for a tuna alternative for many years, trying recipes and buying some products. This is the closest thing i can find. If you make it like a tuna salad, adding mayo and anything else you might like (shredded carrots, celery), it is actually quite good.

Shipping was fast and I'd recommend this highly. Only reason it isn't a five is because it lacks that "fishy" consistency a bit. I'm thinking if I shred some dried nori it might due the trick.

I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for over 30 years. I'm always looking for easy meals to make for lunch or a quickie supper dish. I used to love Tuno, but when it left the market I was on the search for an alternative. I tried making my own using chickpeas, but being the lazy vegetarian that I am...it just didn't cut it. When I saw this Fishless Tuna on Amazon I figured I'd take a leap of faith and buy a case. I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the flavor and texture, quite appealing. I prefer the 5oz cans as it's perfect for 2 regular sized sandwiches or 1 large roll (like a hoagie roll). Generally I just mix mayo (Helman's only for me), spread it on bread with maybe 1 slice of cheese and eat.

I do recommend this to lazy vegetarians like myself who want convenience in addition to not eating meat.

This is the best vegan tuna ever! Drain it well, then add vegan mayo, chopped pickle, onion, celery, lemon juice, salt & pepper to taste (or whatever you used to like with tuna), makes four servings. Absolutely delicious!

Since Tuno left the marketplace I've wished for a replacement. Perhaps this company can contact the people who made Tuno and learn how to do it so it tastes a little more edible. Even mixed with mayo and a bit of spice, can't get rid of the cheap dogfood odor and the terrible taste. And alas I bought a case. Haven't opened a second can yet, can't face it. I give it two stars instead of one because my partner says "It's tolerable" and might be able to use it for sandwiches at work. Otherwise we'd have to be those horrible sorts of people who donate to the foodbank stuff you wouldn't feed your dog.

This is a good vegetarian alternative to tuna; the texture is close to tuna and the taste is acceptable. The first case I bought was perfect and would have been awarded five stars, but exactly the half of the cans second case I bought were putrid. Instead of the realistic tuna-like water that the product was in; the was a mucus-like goo that wouldn't drain out of the textured soy. These cans weren't edible. Luckily, Amazon refunded my money without issue, but I won't be buying the product again and I can't justify a good rating.

Although this is not a great substitute for all vegan's favorite Tuno, this works ok. Add soy mayo, onions, and celery and you have a decent tuno salad. Do not add any sugared relish as it seems to heighten a strange flavor. Who ever thought we would be talking about a substitute to a substitute tuna.

i received this in the vegan cuts box this month and loved it! granted this was my first experience with mock tuna, but i loved every bite of it. mixed it with some veganaise, put it on some bread, and threw the whole thing in the toaster oven to heat it up. can't wait to have it again.

I was impressed with how good this tastes and it's wonderful to have something like this to use for quick snacks and in salads and casseroles. Sometimes after a long day of work cooking just seems too much and this fills a gap for me. I will keep this in my pantry from now on! This is so good that I am trying not to use it, but that rather defeats the point, eh? When I can't always afford this, oatmeal with peanut butter stirred in and covered in almond milk is equally delicious. ;) That's my personal comfort food.
