4.0 out of 5 stars It feels very comfortable but has some drawbacks.
By Wetto Sanchez on May 9, 2018
Worked well but has a couple drawbacks. The knife body feels heavy on the hand, which makes it feel good. It's thicker than a pen and more the thickness of a standard sharpie. The gummy grip also makes it comfortable to hold. The two drawbacks I see is that when you change the blade there is a small flat steel spring inside where you insert the blade. It fell out the first time I unthreaded the collet. You don't have to unscrew the collet all the way off to change blades so I'll let this issue slide. The second drawback is the cap. One of the reasons I bought this was because it came with a cap. The cap however isn't very secure, it feels very loose and basically can fall off on its own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great hobby knife
By Gerardo Duran on August 11, 2021
The hobby knife is a great product, it has a good balance and weight to it, however this knife is for the advanced person due to the way you need to change the blade. It is way different from other hobby knives, if you take a closer look, you'll see a small pin that is wedged in place on the top or tip of the hobby knife.

(look at the picture with the arrow to get a better understanding)

To change the blade you will need to unscrew the entire top part. Once it's unscrewed, with your thumb and your index finger, grab the base at the top, above the rubber grip pad, make sure YOU DO NOT TUCH THE BLADE AS IT'S SUPER SHARP. On a hard surface, push down on it, as the blade will be released, at this point the blade will become loose and you can exchange. They way it's designed is for stronger use of it. Just be careful of the spring not to come out when replacing the blade, if it does come out, just place it back in, then replace the blade. The last thing is just to reverse the steps and tighten the top piece.

Hope this helps you out when you purchase this hobby knife.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great craft/precision knife. Highly recommended.
By Caleb K. on April 19, 2021
I really enjoy this knife. I ended up buying an extra 2 just in case they stop making them. I love the orange grip, The color is great and it’s just soft enough to be really comfy and grippy without being too gel like. It’s thicker than your standard craft knife, so it’s a bit more sturdy and you get a nice grip on it. It accepts any standard craft blades I’ve tried. I saw another reviewer complaining about it not holding the blade in haha. I will say that the blade goes in a specific way in the x mount. It’s reasonably easy to see which way. If you can’t figure that out, and get mad enough where you feel the need to write a review trashing the product..... then you probably shouldn’t be playing with sharp objects. If the blade is in the correct way then it’s rock solid. I also appreciate that it comes with a clear hard cap.
