I have had a ridiculous amount of fun with this baby. I love how it's so interactive. It's so much more fun than a regular old protractor without a swinging arm to help you draw straight lines. We're talking on the level of transforming a regular old book into a pop up book! I am so fascinated by it's allure that I know I can't be the only one that would, figuratively speaking, be blown away by such an instrument. Hence, I oftentimes find myself bringing up random situations where I can introduce my Fiskars Plastic Swing Arm Protractor. "Hey, what angle do you imagine that is? Oh, you don't know. Well, I'll go check it out." And WABAM! my protractor (with swinging arm ofcourse) awes the crowd.
For those hoodlums that are browsing through protractors late at night, you can actually use this protractor as a pair of "knucks" or "knuckles". Got a problem carrying your shank into a nearby nightclub due to those annoying bouncers frisking? No prob, bro! They'll see this baby and you can explain to them "man, this is for my remedial geometry homework I'm doing later tonight." They'll brush it off and let you in. Nerd.
The swing arm is a great idea. That gets 5 stars. However, this protractor makes it difficult to line up the vertex point and a side. The point has to be approximated because of the hinge for the swing arm, and the spaced lines are not easy to line up with the angle's side.
Still, this is only protractor I found that even tries to help the kids with lining up the sides.
I wrote the original feedback for seller, but Amazon deleted it saying it was product feedback. The protractor itself may be great, we never opened it, rather donate them since they can't be returned, and my son doesn't want to use a pink protractor in his High School classroom. I understand limiting inventory picking, but really, a boy taking shiny pink to High School, I don't think most guys would be happy with that.

This is the same kind I've had for years. I was so happy to find it again because my old one was worn out. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
I got this for my son because his textbook has such small angles that they aren't even readable with a regular protractor. This is really awesome since it fits any sized angle. Read morePublished 1 month ago by extensive researcher
Excellent protractor with large text so my old eyes can actually read the darn thing. As an older person I can really appreciate this. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Maxwell
