Not the usual FITFLOP feel

My mother prefers FITFLOP when she can get it because of the gently supportive, solid, but cushiony footbed but these just don't measure up to the brand reputation. We did expect a ballet flat style to be a bit more slimline but these completely lack any real substance expected of this brand. Also her heel would slip out but she was willing to get a heel grip insert except for the lack of support tipped the scale for us and we decided to return them. Hopefully the brand will see this and reconsider their design. Quality is so hard to find these days so even we find a brand that delivers we become brand loyal. Productions like this compromise or trust in the brand to deliver what made them popular.

I must state prior to starting on this review, I am a little biased toward the Fit-Flop brand. I have owned a total of, including this pair of flats, 5 pairs of their shoes. 3 pairs of their main line of flip flops, 1 pair of slip-ons, and now the very pretty Ballerina Flats that came yesterday. My only complaint about the shipping is the shoebox was squashed in the middle. Since it did not affect the shoes in the box, I will not let that show in my review. I am not sure if the shoes were ever worn beyond a try-on session, but they look like new. Again, since the box was mangled in the shipping, you can't tell. The soles have no wear marks and inside are clean as a whistle! The flower pattern is much prettier in person. I would take a picture, but I don't think it would do them justice.
If you're aware of the Fit-Flop brand, they are worth the price paid! Since their Ballerina Flats are around $130, I got a nice bargain!

The shoes are a little large for me as this style doesn’t come in a 9.5 (either 9 or 10), but I expected that and will wear them with tights or trouser socks. What I didn’t expect was that the box was nearly destroyed in transit and arrived held together by a rubber band. The outside wrapping was filthy and frankly the whole package looked like a truck ran over it. Maybe it did. I probably won’t order from this seller again as I like storing my shoes in the original box.

Classic ballet flat. Comfortable to a point: don't expect super support cushioning but it's not completely flat either. The leather seems like good quality. My only negative (and it's a minor one) is that the top of the shoe comes down so low toward the toes that it's hard to find a shoe liner socklet that doesn't show: the sock either shows over the toes, or creeps up from the side of my foot and shows there. Not a deal breaker: they are comfortable to wear without a sock too. Would recommend this shoe as good value and quality.

The shoes looked really good, and the sole was very comfortable. Thats all the positives.

The negatives:
Too tight- ordered my usual size, and it was too small, too tight.
The Quality of the leather - as you can see in the photos, the leather at the toe end looks as if its been worn out over months, whereas it's only been tried on a few times to break into it over a few days.
Too narrow - if you have wider feet, this is definitely not the shoe for you.
Too Expensive - The shoes quality is not worth the price. I've seen better shoes in cheaper stores.

Overall, I'm sad as I really wanted these shoes to fit and be like the flipflops and sandals. These are probably the nicest ballerinas Fitflop does in terms of appearance, and id be happy to pay more if they were actually worth it. However, I'm going to stick to their sandals from now on.

I find FitFlop ballerinas to run large from experience so I ordered a UK6 even though in most brands I’m a 6.5 or even sometimes a 7 & these were perfect. Nice wide front & rounded toe & I like the elasticated back section - they fit so well they feel like slippers, especially with the subtly padded insole & cushioned outsole. Also, they look like flats but have nice arch support. I almost exclusively wear FitFlop shoes & boots now & was really pleased to find these at a bargain price. Highly recommended!

Second pair of these shoes which I already had in black, and now in many. They are a very plain ballet flat which, thanks to the footbed, are comfortable enough for all day wear at work (on my feet, teaching).

Normally very flat shoes just aggravate an old achilles tendon injury, but despite looking to be completely flat, the cushioning and shaping inside the shoe feels much better to wear.

True to size (UK 8), although as usual I could do with them being a little narrower in the middle but they stay on fine when walking.

I love Fitflop shoes as they are always so comfy and support feet with any issues (I have previously had plantar fasciitis and now have arthritis in my ankle). This style seems to come up a little small though, I am normally a 5 in their 'superballerina' style or 5.5 in some other shoes but I needed a 6 in these to fit me. The elastic is quite tight at the back and rubbed a little at first but after wearing them a couple of times they are now very comfy.
