I am particularly short and was recommended to sit on an exercise ball instead of a chair after I hurt my tail bone. However I found that to get a ball big enough to reach my desk I couldn't stay balanced on the ball and would have to fall off to get away from my desk. I found this product at a local "back" store, and thought for the price I can't really loose - IT HAS BEEN A LIFE SAVER. In the year I have had it not only has by back healed and is stronger, but I just have the BEST ABS EVER as I'm doing a daily 8 hour ab routine just siting on the fitball disk at my desk. I now have a 6 pack and I didn't really even try...

My pregnant boss tried to steal it, she thought it was great.

I have sciatica pain with foot drop and needed more time to work on my core muscles. The ball chairs seemed too expensive, and the more affordable ones aren't necessarily height adjustable (my desk is really tall--I'm not). So, I bought the disk cushion and use it on my desk chair at work. While I don't get the reach and flexibility of my balance ball, it provides me with just enough motion and support to make it worthwhile for the price.

I bought the fit seats for my classroom. They're supposed to help with concentration and reduce outward fidgeting. They work! My class is more focused and they're a hit. One thing that I found out about the seats is some of them had manufacturing defects. Check to make sure that the opening isn't cracked (it causes slow leaks) and sometimes the seams burst after only sitting on them. The company is VERY easy to work with - I received replacements immediately! No questions asked. I would definitely buy from them again.

This disc has helped relieve most of my back pain when sitting at the office. The disc allows you to determine how much air you want in it....less proves more demanding on the muscles when exercising. The disc as a seating tool is wonderful in that it provides a ball of air that lifts pressure off the lower back and allows you to sit with ease. Helps to enhance better posture by forcing you to use your stomach muscles to balance and maintain your position. I was in a ton of pain at work before I got this due to tense muscles and scoliosis....but this has helped tremendously!

I have exercised with a ball for many years now and I've sat on a big ball and felt it's benefits for a sore back so I was excited when I saw the small Fitball. It's GREAT. It takes a moment or two to get the hang of sitting on it but once you've mastered that step you will appreciate it's effects. It makes me sit forward and forms a wedge underneath me so my pelvis is tilted and leaves my back in the correct position with the curve at the base of my spine. You can still slouch if you really try but I find it makes me sit correctly for as long as I'm on it. I would recommend it to anyone with sciatic problems or low back pain.

Reviews are on point. Get this if you have a desk job or sit longer than 45 minutes a day. Personally I wish I could prescribe to a standing work station. If you are where I am at I'm all about the whole getting back to basics/primal/evolution/running barefoot/etc movement.

I'd researched so many options. All of them from ergonomic knee chairs to the fitness ball chair to high end European custom designed chairs. Prices ranging from $60 to pay off my car loan prices. Sheesh.

Then I found this simple little disc! It is affordable and it does make all the difference in my posture. I sit up more proper to open up my chest and open up my lungs. I get less sleepy throughout the day, for all those reasons. And prevents my back from being so tired at the end of the day.

I'm a believer in proactive movement. We, as humans, were not meant to sit for long periods of time. Truthfully, I would implore you to move ever 20 to 45 minutes.

This item unfortunately does not pop up in searches easily.

Fit USA you need to figure that out.

Everyone needs to keep their core active even when they sit. The high end chairs are great but if you don't have the big dollars for something fancy [which really is just a simple luxury], then get this disc.

It's not complicated. You need to keep your body moving. You need proper posture. If you don't work out your muscles will deflate. :) [Forgive me that's just the word I'm using]. You have no muscles to hold your spine up correctly. Proper alignment is not as easy to do. And besides your back will get tired. You don't use it you lose it. I began to realize this the longer I worked a desk job.

Imperceptible exercise as you sit on this-you tighten & tone your abdomen & back without realizing it.

Great for posture. To use this, you have to sit up in your chair with feet firmly planted on floor. Terrific! Lessen air in pillow easily to increase training. Good for all fitness levels.

Great alternative to a big cumbersome Gymnic ball at the seat! No more wobbling or rolling around. Discretely exercise at your seat. I watched this woman in the office rolling around unsteadily on this huge ball & was glad I had this exerciser right in my chair. No banged knees!
