I love the size of this tracker. I had one before, but it was a little bigger. This is a perfect size for me. I don't have dainty wrists and work a lot, so I needed something sturdy. This is very sturdy and still looks feminine. I love the rasberry color band, too. It has holes in the band that keeps air flowing. It's very comfortable. My only complaint is that getting the tracker in the right position while connecting to the charger. If you don't set it up carefully, it's not gonna charge. I've pretty much mastered the only frustrating part of this tracker, so all in all, it's a great buy. It gives all of the information all of the time and I'm happy with how it all works.

My Fitbit Alta stopped working and needed to get replaced. I would’ve gladly repurchased it, but it’s been discontinued. So I decided to go with the Inspire. I got the one without the heart rate. The inspire is the smallest device, they all get bigger and bigger after it, I’m not interested in a huge screen on my wrist. In the box it comes with two bracelets, small and large, which I really appreciate. I got the maroon color, the bracelet is really well designed, it has never accidentally come off, it has a snap and a buckle, so it securely and comfortably stays on.
This is very similar to the Alta as far as the functions, it still doesn’t count floors climbed, and I’m ok with it. The screen is really nice, it is pink and you swipe up not tap to read more. It shows the exact count of steps, the Alta just rounded them. That’s probably the biggest upgrade, the reading of the screen. Also the actual device is a sort of curved, not flat so it sits really nicely on the wrist. One thing that could really use an upgrade is the charger. The charger is tiny. If you charge from the wall, your fit bit will be dangling, if it’s from the computer it can sit on the desk. The magnet that holds it is fairly strong, but this could be a problem down the road. The inspire holds the charge for a good five days. It has the function to show texts on screen, but I have that turned off. It is also waterproof. I take it off before showering every time, how many steps am I making in the shower? I would swim with it. This is a great fitness tracker, I highly recommend it.

It is suppose to keep track of sustained exercise. It recorded 35 minutes in the morning and by afternoon it was down to 10 minutes (glitchy--there are complaints online about this but no fix.) Overall I like how it looks. Unexpectedly it also picks up my texts and tells me if my phone is ringing if I'm in the vicinity of the phone (nice extras but you have to set up in settings.) Easy to set up. You can shower with it and take it into the pool. (It did record extended exercise when I was swimming.) It mildly vibrates when you get a call or text, or need to get up and move around. I don't think the sleep recorder is very accurate--it shows me asleep when I know I was awake and vice versa.) I am used to looking at my watch several times a day--you have to go into settings so it will light up when you raise your arm rather than push the button to see the time. I like having the date show with the time. There are multiple things you can show under the time--you have to learn to swipe through what data is available under the time until you find what you want (it can be the date it could also be steps walked etc.) There is GPS program you can turn on in the phone if you are taking an extended run/walk. The GPS is much more accurate on distance than just steps. However, I'm returned it for a replacement hoping that the time reduction in extended exercise is fixed. It overall does an excellent job of keeping track of my steps and gently encourages you to keep moving. I recommend look at settings so you can personalize your preferences.

I got the 2nd watch and it also has the glitch of decreasing extended exercise time or not recognizing it.

I love this fitbit. It is my third. I started years ago with the little year drop clip on one, then had an HR and now this. It is by far my favorite and what you get for the price is fantastic. No heart rate but I am in a place where I don't really need that. I just needed my step count but I got so much more than I expected. Sleep tracking is useful for improving sleep habits, but the best part is the text notifications and alarms. You can even read your texts on it. I need multiple alarms a day for medication and for online schooling of my kids. Every time I hear the annoying cell phone alarms it makes me jump out of my skin. Now I just get a little buzz on my wrist and it's great.

As for the band, it was great that a larger band size was included. I needed it. I am 5'4 and 220 lbs. It is way more comfortable than the HR band was. The app has a bunch more handy features that sync with the watch too.

Perfect little tracker for when you only want to track activity and sleep. I took mine off the band & put it in a clip I attach to my shoelaces, but it just as easily attaches to a pocket or waistband. My job req’s that I not wear jewelry, so this format works out for me.

The app is very easy to use, but needs a 2nd app to transfer Fitbit info into the Apple Health app. Seriously simple.

So far, on the first (&only) charge, it is at 48% battery life remaining after a full week of use.

Would I recommend over the cheap versions out there? Absolutely. It feels quite solid & it tracks better than my phone (which is never w me while working). I like it enough that I bought a replacement warranty through Fitbit’s app. I was always losing & replacing my Misfit - seriously, I replaced 5 bc I thought Fitbit was too bulky, but this is small enough to be inconspicuous clipped wherever it is. I know that the warranty is for BROKEN, but I did that TOO w the Misfit(s)

The battery lasts almost 3 days when I don't keep it connected to my phone all the time. I connect it once every night to log in the metrics. If anyone wants to start their fitness journey they should buy this Fitbit as their first tracker rather than jumping to expensive watches. It's water proof and very light weight.
