4.0 out of 5 stars Rogue Bar without the hefty price tag
By Dave on April 25, 2016
The Titan is what is advertised. It is a sturdy pull up bar for less than half the price of the Rogue system.

Initial thoughts:
When I first received the item, I was surprised how badly packaged it was. Despite the fast 3-4 day shipping, it was no excuse for having the bar exposed out of the box during shipping. It was scratched on corners and chipped on one end. However, this wasn't a big deal breaker for me considering the price I got it for. When taking it out of the box, I realized how sturdy and heavy duty it was. It is one solid bar and they did not take shortcuts on the construction material.

Installation:
The install requires extra equipment to properly be mounted. It comes only with the two holders, bar, and 2 screws to hold the bar. I planned to mount it on a garage wall over the entry door. To keep it from digging into the drywall over time, I bought some extra support. I was able to install it all by myself. The following is equipment needed:

6-3/8 (4 1/2 inch) lag screws
6-washers for lag screws
3-48" 1x4 wood (I used pine wood)
Stud finder
Drill bit (used 9/32) for lag screws
15-#10 2" wood screws (to hold pine wood)
Drill
Dremel (had to polish out the holes for the bar to fit easily)

I also bought paint and primer to color in the 1x4s for cosmetics only

Operation:
This bar is sturdy when mounted. I have done kipping pull ups, butteryfly pull ups, strict pull ups, toes to bar and they work great. I cannot do muscle ups due to my ceiling height but have no doubt it can absorb that as well.

Summary:
This bar is stellar. The only reason for 4 stars is because I did not like the shipping of the product and how it came with some cosmetic scratches. I recommend this product for anyone doing a crossfit, body building, trx, or home workout.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as pictured or measured. Bait and switch.
By Rob S. on November 23, 2019
I received a completely different product than advertised. The one I received is small and thin. I bought wood and bolts based on the advertised size. The one they sent is maybe 40” wide (not 53”) x 14” tall (not remotely 31”) x 24” deep (also far cry from advertised depth).

This is a complete waste of time and money. Do NOT buy from these guys. All the 5 start reviews are 2-3+ years ago. Bait and switch garbage. This is going back today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super solid pull-up rig, ridiculous value
By Ward on January 2, 2018
I bought this in December 2017, so no comments on longevity other than speculative ones below. The box it came in was a little beat up, but everything in it was intact and in excellent condition. I had a different multiposition pull-up bar but it had to be on studs 48” apart, and I only had 36” of space, so this fit the bill perfectly as the bar can extend from the mounts.
Really impressed with the quality. Welds are excellent, finish is fantastic. I mounted on 1x4s cut to 36”. Once mounted, even at 260+ with weight vest on, this thing doesn’t wiggle. Excellent value and incredibly easy to install. I can’t imagine this not lasting forever. The screws that keep the bar from spinning work great, and I was a little worried about them. Not a single complaint about this at all.

Re install, I used slightly longer lag bolts than it came with due to the 1x4. First I stacked the 1x4s, then sat one of the sides on them and drilled pilot holes through the holes in the mount and both boards. Then I found the stud and marked holes on the wall through my pilot holes. I double checked each mark with the stud finder, then drilled my pilot holes into the wall. Then I attached the 1x4 to the wall with a small screw, lining up the pilot holes. Finally, I ran the bolts through the rig, 1x4, and into the wall, tightening by hand with a socket wrench. That easy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really sturdy!
By Josh and Annie on March 6, 2016
This is a great addition to my home gym! I initially wanted to mount the bar from the ceiling but this would make the bar eye level, which is too short to do a proper pull up. So you will need 12+ foot ceilings if you would like to ceiling mount it.

I decided to mount it from the wall with the bar at about 8 feet. I tried to mount it myself and it was way to difficult. The mounts are pretty heavy to hold by yourself and install it accurately. I had to ask my fiancé for help while I was screwing in the bolts.

There are two bolts (included) that hold the cross bar in place which need to be tightened. This requires either a wrench or ratchet set.

Once this whole process was finished, I tested out the bar and it didn't budge a bit. It's so much nicer and less intrusive than a conventional doorway pull up bar.

I am fortunate enough to have power tools so installation was a breeze. A couple measurements and 6 bolts later we had this sucker installed.

I would highly recommend these tools to make this installation go smooth:

Stud finder
18 volt Power drill
Tape measure
Ratchet set with power drill adapter
Level

Required Hardware:
6x hex nuts at least 3"-3 1/2 inches in length
6x washers

I gave it 4 out of 5 because I needed help to install the pull up bar, the hardware, and tool to tighten the cross bar bolts are not included. Otherwise super sturdy and a great addition to my gym.
