The SOLE TT8 treadmill offers a 22-inch wide running surface (the TT stands for "twenty-two"), designed to give runners a safe, comfortable feel. The extra width allows you to run freely, without having to think about where you're positioned on the treadmill. A grated, reinforced framework produces a remarkably stable deck, and is rated up to 425 pounds. This framework, and perma-waxed reversible deck with three-inch crowned rollers offers the reliability of a much more expensive treadmill.

The two-ply belt that adds to the feel of the treadmill, as well as longevity, and is engineered similar to the soles of most running shoes for buoyant cushion and grip. The TT8 offers a top speed of 12 MP and a top incline of 15%, for a variety of interval workouts. A six-window display let you track all of the essential data during your workout, and a Cushion Flex whisper deck minimizes stress to hips, knees, and ankles. The TT8 also comes with Heart Rate Control, complete with a Polar chest strap, to keep you on target for heart rate training. A cooling system allows for extended usage, with multiple users or long runs without the potential of overheating. The TT8 is built to be used in a light commercial setting, and has a light commercial warranty in addition to a standard warranty for basic home use.

Technology

  • Convenient Controls: A streamlined control console features quick speed and incline adjustment buttons along the sides of the LCD for in-workout adjustment convenience.
  • Cushion Flex Whisper Deck: Proprietary stealth technology provides a comfortable, quiet workout while reducing impact by up to 40%.
  • Precision Welded Frame: The durable, solidly-built frame is strong enough to handle repeated use by users of all weights and heights.
  • SOLE LCD Display: A vibrant blue screen with large, clean readouts provide users with helpful information, including heart rate, speed, pace, calories burned, and other useful bits of information.
  • Integrated Message Board: An alphanumeric text center sends scrolling messages to the user in an effort to guide them through all of the details of every workout. The message board will also recap your entire workout after you are finished, so you can see your progress.
  • High Torque Motor with Flywheels: All SOLE treadmills feature the heaviest duty chassis and motors in their class. Features include powder-coated, all-steel welded frames and heavy duty stable inclines, industrial quality motors with large diameter, all-steel zinc coated balanced flywheels for a vibration-free secure running/walking surface.
  • Rollers: 2.75-inch rollers have a sealed bearing design and copper ground wires for each roller to reduce static. Larger rollers make for a larger contact surface against the belt and longer roller and belt life.
  • Belts: Woven two-ply belts with four layers, including two rubber layers over a middle PVC layer with a nylon backing that rolls over the deck and rollers. The rubber provides the durability, the PVC stops the belt from over-stretching, and the nylon provides a smooth, static-free surface to glide over the deck and rollers.

I have owned this treadmill for a few years.
I have owned others.
Most people buy exercise equipment and it is not used.
I use mine. I race in local footraces and have set age group records.

This is an excellent treadmill and worth the extra money if you intend to use it. It is not the toy you get at box stores for a few hundred dollars to use as a clothes rack.

It is stable, does not fold up and is large enough to actually run on.
It is about as cheap as you can go for a home treadmill you can actually work out on.

This treadmill is really built like a tank. We were looking for something that was reliable, reasonably priced, and most of all, built to last. My wife and I also wanted to use the treadmill for running, which isn't really an option on the smaller, less powerful home machines.

Anyway, I can say that we are very happy with the purchase. The treadmill was easy to put together and is obviously a solid piece of machinery. All of the the significant joints are welded steel, and with a 4 hp motor and 3 inch rollers, there's not another machine like it at anywhere near the same price.

Yes, we also looked into the Nordictrack treadmills, but I think what you're really paying for with those machines is the iFit software, which sounds like it doesn't work very well, at least in the reviews we saw. The Sole machine is simpler and more powerful, and we think it's a great value for the money.

If you want to actually use your treadmill to run, and keep running, I highly recommend this one. Thanks!

Bought this treadmill as it was rated high for running. I liked the fact that it was non-folding as I have had folding ones prior and never even folded them.

Couple of things about this treadmill (I purchased mine directly from SOLE) it is heavy! Very Heavy! When it was delivered the driver put it in the driveway and my friend and I were going to take it in the house (you can pay additional for them to bring into your home and even more for setup - but I am cheap). It is a big box so we opened it and took it inside in pieces. The belt portion is still pretty dang heave and we could have used a 3rd person but we managed to get it inside.

The directions for assembly could be a lot better, but trial and error allowed me to put it together with a few complaints. The plastic hand guards drove me mad in that the screw holes are recessed by about two inches and the screws are very small and the crappy tools they supply are not good enough. I eventually had to grab a real screwdriver lay on my back with a light to screw these things in. The plastic guards on the belt did not align with the holes at all on either side. I spent forever trying everything to get them to fit, but no mas! So I screwed in one hole on each.

The Good: It is a sturdy treadmill and think it will hold up to lots of wear a tear.

The Bad: a few things here. 1) the speakers are so cheap and really useless 2) bluetooth would be a nice feature 3) limited features for the price 4) the display appears more low end than I would have liked to see - I didn't buy it for these features but they do stand out as being weak.

Overall: It is sturdy and easy to run on.

UPDATE: Squeaks after a few months -----

Verified Purchase
Very sturdy machine and reliable. Does what is advertised. Only two small negative comments. I could have wished the fans were pointed a little more directly at the person on the treadmill or maybe to have the ability to easily turn the fans in the direction that is desired. The other is that the wireless heart monitor that I read about in reviews does not come with the machine but is a separate purchase. I would have wished that this issue was more clearly specified in the product details.

But what I want a tread mill for is all here. Why someone would need 32 different programs for exercise is beyond me. I want a workout that pushes me and keeps up with calories burned. This one is excellent for that plus adjusting up or down any step of the way is easy. I love it and am pleased with my purchase.
