Hallee Bridgeman's "7 Year Glitch" was a tenderhearted romance that begins with a crisis and search and rescue. Timothy had been avoiding going into town in case he saw his former fiance Leanne. Now that they've finally come face to face, can they rekindle what they had 7 years ago?
I especially loved meeting new (to me) author Jaycee Weaver's "Christmas Mercy" as Rob returns to his hometown and family that he left behind several years before. His mother exaggerates a family crisis that brings him rushing home and also running into his first love. Will he and Vera be able to unravel the lies that kept them apart? He keeps hearing the word "mercy" and wonders what it could mean. Then he meets the daughter he didn't think was his, and more family secrets are revealed. Some hard choices need to be made. A beautifully written story summed up by the author: "Forgiveness doesn't always mean the hurt disappears, but it brings a measure of comfort and healing to those who've been wronged." I need to find more books by this author!
"Ghosted at the Altar" by Chautona Having introduces us to a very patient Mitchell who's been left at the altar by Breanna. At first he's angry and embarrassed, and confused since Breanna says she loves Mitchell but won't talk to him. What to do? Mitchell and Breanna's sister Lauren do some sleuthing and delve into the reason why he was ghosted--with a few laughs along the way. Sometimes I found it difficult to follow the story as other characters were mentioned that I had never met before.
"Five Gold Rings" by Amanda Tru is a fun, entertaining story that also delves into deeper matters. Interesting read about 2 professionals--a premarital counselor specializing in commitment challenges and a wedding planner--both of whom seem to have plenty of advice to dispense, but will they use any of it in their own lives?
I highly recommend this boxset of clean romantic stories--all quick paced and heartwarming! I received a complimentary ARC of this boxset and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.
