Welcome to your new summer job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where kids and parents alike come for entertainment and food as far as the eye can see! The main attraction is Freddy Fazbear, of course; and his two friends. They are animatronic robots, programmed to please the crowds! The robots' behavior has become somewhat unpredictable at night however, and it was much cheaper to hire you as a security guard than to find a repairman.

From your small office you must watch the security cameras carefully. You have a very limited amount of electricity that you're allowed to use per night (corporate budget cuts, you know). That means when you run out of power for the night- no more security doors and no more lights! If something isn't right- namely if Freddybear or his friends aren't in their proper places, you must find them on the monitors and protect yourself if needed!

Your goal is to make to 6am without running out of power. That means using your doors and lights sparingly. Listen carefully to your surroundings to know if something is nearby, and flick the mouse toward the bottom of your screen to view your cameras. If something is right outside your door then close it quickly, then open again it again when the danger is gone.

it all began when i saw the game played on you tube, i developed an intense fear and wet myself i saw any reference to the game, until i looked more into it. now i love it, the game has no gore or violence but still scares you in the "jumps out of the dark" kind of way

would recommend this to anyone

the point of the game is to survive your summer job as a night guard at Freddy fazbears pizza, a magical place for kids and adults alike where fun and fantasy come to life, where at night the animatronic mascots get a little "quirky" according to the mysterious "phone guy", the previous guard who recorded some orientations tapes which plays before your shift. where he explains that the animatronics "tend to wander a bit" and that if they find you they "probably wont recognize you as a person, probably just as an animatronic skeleton without its costume, and since that's against the rules here at Freddy fazbears pizza, they will try to... forcefully stuff you into a costume" which according to the phone guy, with the amount of wires and support bars in the suit would end with "some slight discomfort... and death, yeah.. they don't tell you this stuff when you sign up"
so you use the security cameras in conjunction with the power security doors in your office to keep safe from the "malfunctioning" animatronics, but it soon becomes clear that somethings not right....

SPOILERS

the animatronics are not glitching, they are possessed. possessed by four of the five children who died decades ago at that very spot, and they are malicious towards you due to the fact that they're murderer was an ex-guard... the same one who recorded the messages for you.

and then there is the "secret" animatronic, golden Freddy, who only appears rarely. and despite common lore, is not the fifth child's spirit, or a costume haunted by the spirit of phone guy, who disappears by night four. he is in fact a hallucination brought on by the stress of staying alive. i hope this review helps you in your buying decision

Scariest game i've played in years! This game is very easy to pick up & play. However, it is difficult to master. There's only 5 stages in the main game, plus 1 extra stage but, you get a LOT for what you pay for. It will take a while for you to complete them all as you study enemy patterns, and test out your own strategies to make it through each night.

For such a simple indie game, its genius! Very well-done with an effective and unique concept, and great presentation. Its rare to find a horror game these days that gives the player that genuine sense of dread and fear of an approaching threat. Highly recommended!

As for compatibility and hardware requirements, no need to worry. This game has no lengthy installation process and powerful hardware is not required. You just click on the program file each time you want to play and it loads, done. I have an old Windows XP laptop from back in 2006, and its able to run this game like a champ.

This is one of the most unique games I have ever played. It is enjoyably scary. It is not horrifying and after a few deaths the jump scares are not frightening but that is not what makes this game great. It's the mystery behind the animatronics. There is a lore going around fans that keep the game from becoming stale. It is fun to try to find hidden clues to the back story and characters.

The game play is simple but addicting. All you have to do is watch cameras to find the animatronics out to kill you and light the doorway if you can't find them. If they are close, close the door and try not to drain you power. Simple, but fun!

I definitely recommend this game to anyone except maybe for people who have seizure or heart problems. It is one of the best gaming experiences I have had in a long time and I look forward to more!

I first heard of this game from Rhett and Link. I am not a big computer gamer but this one seemed to peak my interests. It was a fast down load! The image was great and clear with adjustable light options for your computer. I played night one a few times and had a blast. It was spooky and fun with a group of friends. I tried again the next day by my self and found it very challenging to get past the third night. I am sure I would have made it through the five nights but it became very repetitive and annoying to finish. I now only play when my nephews and younger cousins come over.

This game is genius. It is funny and scary, and anyone who's ever been to one of these restaurants will appreciate how the game captured their creepiness perfectly. It's exactly the kind of thing you need independent game designers for - a large company would have killed its magic. I'm a horror and humor writer, and I spend all day trying to do what the designer did here. I sort of hate him. But I respect what he's done.

I really like this game and i also have some cheats you can use. Go to the main menu of Five nights at Freddy's and press these at the same time. CD1 that will unlock night six including the star but the 1 has to be on top of the letters and the second one is the same exact thing but use the 2 above the letters and that will unlock custom night and the other star. I got one more, Now go onto any night, when you enter press CD+ and it will automatically complete the night but the + has to be on the number pad. That one is easy for beating 20/20/20/20 mode and showing your star off to your friends but if you do all the cheats right when you download the game and do 20/20/20/20 mode the star in the middle will disappear, just do CD2 and it will show up.
