Anyhow, I keep asking if she's keeping a journal to record her son's growth, memories, milestones, and she always says she's just too doggone busy. So...I found this journal and gave it to her as a Christmas gift...SHE LOVES IT! It only takes a minute and even gives you subject matter so you don't have to think up what to write if you don't want to. One of the better gifts I think I've ever given.

I bought this journal after reading reviews and descriptions of other journals for mothers. I am a very busy mom with two small children who works about hundred hours a week. I love the idea of keeping a journal but hate the idea of "Dear diary" type of journal. This one is a lot of fun! It has fun questions and the ability to check off feelings about things rather than having to write every single feeling down. If then gives you a few lines to fill in your own thoughts. I think one day my children would get a kick out of reading this. It covers a wide array of every day things such as what I think of when I hear dinner, holiday, dear, hope. If someone wrote a song about me it would be and they give you choices to check off or you can check off other and fill in the blank. I think if you're really honest in this journal your children can learn more about you in years to come them what you can show them on a daily basis. Because sometimes or showing our children is and always was going on in her head.The book is a little small and that's why didn't give it five stars. It's a little difficult to write in because of it being so small and hard covered. There are certain thoughts that I had more than five seconds to work on and I wish I would've had a little bit more room for those. However, I've just added those thoughts on an extra piece of paper and paperclip them inside. This is a great book for very busy moms!

Well, this was disappointing. Yes, it has a place for quick entries but they are prompted by a question and often the question isn't relevant to my situation. I found this searching for a baby book/journal for a single parent. The questions are all over the board to accommodate a host of households which was appealing but, so far, most of the questions are not relevant to my baby and me. Several include comparisons with your significant other.Some like "favorite iPod songs for living room dance party" just aren't relevant yet. I will hang on to this and maybe by the time my child is an adult, I will have had an opportunity to fill in the pages.

I purchased this journal as a baby shower gift. I typically like to give a new mom a journal to track their first year. I have purchased other brands of mom-journals and have been more satisfied with those. However, this brand was significantly cheaper than the other brand I typically purchase. The main difference is that this is not a linear journal - you can write on any page, and day, etc. I would probably not purchase this again as I prefer more of a "one line a day" journal that follows the calendar. But, the journal was quality made and still a cute gift!
