About the Artist

It’s not often that an unsigned act opens for over twenty national recording acts, plays four major radio festivals, receives commercial radio airplay, and consistently draws 300+ to their shows… all in just over two years of existence! One can’t ignore the fact that 2nd Day Broadcast is something special!

2nd Day Broadcast’s distinct melodic and powerful sound, as well as high-energy live show, has caught the attention of concert promoters and radio program directors, such as Shark at Tampa’s 97.1 FM (WSUN 97X). As a result, the band has had the incredible opportunity to perform with national acts such as Our Lady Peace, Everclear, Cypress Hill, Unwritten Law, The Used, Injected, and Dexter Freebish. In November 2002, The College Music Journal, American Music Awards and Dick Clark Communications named 2nd Day Broadcast one of the TOP TEN unsigned acts in the United States. As a result, 2nd Day Broadcast was invited to an all-expense paid showcase at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom during the very well-respected CMJ Music Marathon 2002. In addition, the Tampa Bay area music fans have embraced 2nd Day Broadcast, and through an aggressive promotional focus, the band has built a substantial local and regional fan base. The band is constantly looking for opportunities to expand its fan base, by touching new people in new cities. With a wide range of diverse musical influences from John Swope (Vocals), Richard Anello (Lead Guitar), Dan Barton (Rhythm Guitar), Derek Fair (Bass), and Peter Joseph (Drums)… 2nd Day Broadcast’s music transcends musical genres and appeals to a widely diverse audience.
