Enter: Fix a flat. The directions are clear and simple to follow. The product worked perfectly to temporarily patch and inflate my tire so that I could drive home. Since then I have bought another bottle for my car and one for my husband's. Note: If you want to repair, rather than replace your flat tire, you will not be able to have your tire professionally patched after using this (at least according to the tire place I went to), but you can have it professionally plugged. A plug ended up to be cheaper for me, so it worked out anyway.
Also, get this one even if you have small tires because you can use it over and over again.
Which leads me to my next point, which is that the leak stopper hasn't worked for me at all. The tire keeps slowly losing air. I'm using his for my Segway MiniPro by the way. I don't know whether it is just something weird with the segways, but this didn't work for me long term. But it has blown up the tire several times with plenty still leftover, so I'm glad I bought the big one.
Well, we needed that can less than two months after purchase. In the meantime, we'd gotten another flat and patched it. On our way home from a trip, the patch blew out. We put in a new patch, inflated the tire with our tiny portable air compressor, and continued on our drive. In less than a mile, the tire was losing air again. We patched and inflated the tire again and headed back out, only to have to pull over in about half a mile again. Repeat, repeat, repeat. The gash in the tire was so bad that string patches simply could not seal the hole completely.
We had an ace in the hole, however. After multiple stops for patching and/or re-inflating, we pulled out the Fix-a-flat to seal up the gaps so that we could make it home. It was our last resort and desperately needed at this point. We were in the middle of nowhere with narrow road shoulders, poor-to-no cell phone reception, setting sun, and dropping temperatures with high winds.
The Fix-a-flat -- remember, a brand new can -- failed us completely. We've used it before and followed all the instructions but there was no air pressure in the can so it could not push the sealant into the tire! We had no choice but to keep adding string patches and re-inflating the tire to get one more mile down the road. It took us 2 1/2 hours to cover less than 40 miles. Fix-a-flat was supposed to rescue us from these kinds of situations yet failed miserably. We will not buy this product again.
We instead spent the money to purchase an after-market spare tire for our small car. We also highly recommend adding hazard triangles to your vehicle emergency kit. Our new ones came in very handy!
I buy a can for every car in my household and many thanks have been passed along.
I recommend this highly.
