READING GUIDE
Looking to read more of Tawna's sexy, heartwarming romantic comedies, but not sure where to start? Here's a handy reading guide!

The Front & Center series
Each book in this risqué, laugh-out-loud military series is written as a standalone romantic comedy, but if you'd like to read them in release order, here's how they go:
  • Book 1: Marine for Hire
  • Book 2: Fiancée for Hire
  • Book 3: Best Man for Hire
  • Book 4: Protector for Hire

The First Impressions series
Centered around a PR & Branding agency, the super-steamy First Impressions series is written so each of these laugh-out-loud romantic comedies stands on its own. If you'd prefer to read them in order, here's a key:
  • Book 1: The Fix Up
  • Book 2: The Hang Up
  • Book 3: The Hook Up

Single title romantic comedies from Montlake Publishing
These romantic comedies are longer than Tawna's category romances, and sometimes deal with weightier subjects like divorce and infidelity. They're still romantic comedies at heart, but expect a few tears to be thrown in with the laughter. The books are not tied together in any way, and can be read in any order.
  • About That Fling
  • Let It Breathe
  • Now That It's You
Single title romantic comedies from Sourcebooks

Lengthier than Tawna's series books, but zanier than any of her other titles, these wacky, sexy romantic comedies can be read in any order.
  • Making Waves
  • Believe it or Not
  • Frisky Business

Novellas and other offbeat options
The Getting Dumped series offers a cute, cozy mystery in a choose-your-own-adventure format (as does the spinoff novella, The Great Panty Caper), while the standalone romantic novella Eat, Play, Lust is a short little racy romp designed to be devoured in one sitting.
  • Eat, Play, Lust
  • The Getting Dumped series
  • The Great Panty Caper

3 - "It is what it is." Stars.

The Queen of pithy innuendo strikes again, unfortunately when you are battered around the eye-balls with it in pretty much every paragraph of the book it tends to lose it's overall charm somewhat. It also takes away the scope of getting much of an emotional connection between a couple, when all they are doing is 'one-upping' each other in said 'innuendo' stakes. I got they were horny for each other, I think there may have been mention of one or the other of them falling for the other, actual connection or feelings... I got none, until the very end of the book.

"In case you failed to notice, I'm not a people person."

Thing is I like Tawna Fenske's writing, it's light and refreshing, but the more innuendo she seems to pile on with each new book takes away from there being any actual real depth to the story-line or the characters. In fact if you took out all the innuendo in The Fix Up and just left Ben and Holly having a normal conversation I fear there would be very little book left too read.

It's good to be a geek.

I would just like a little more depth to the story and the characters. Ben's geekiness was more of an afterthought, and Holly's financial issues with her ex didn't really come into play to make them that relevant. I liked the last 15% of the book, mainly because the aforementioned innuendo overload was toned down to a bearable level.

Entertaining enough, but it doesn't hit the heights, or achieve the perfect balance between funny and emotional that the early books of the authors Front and Center series did.

Okay, it's official. I've simply gotta do it. (Insert drum roll here.) I am now crowning author Tawna Fenske as (Ta-DA!) the All-Time Queen of Double Entendres,

I've thoroughly enjoyed all of Queen Tawna's books, and as hard as it is to believe, each one is better than the one before. This one? Fantastic! Sexy? Oh my God, yes! If you don't think boring business lingo could possibly be the least bit scintillating, man oh man, would you ever be wrong. Not only is it, um... stimulating... but it is laugh-out-loud funny. If you don't think a super-smart nerd can also be super-hot and romantic, you'd be wrong again.

What's not to love? This book features lots of laughs, oodles of lusty fun, plenty of ooh-la-la sex, and a drool-worthy hero who knows how to please his lady, No problem coming up with a rating for this one...it's a very enthusiastic and unequivocable five stars.

Ben is a socially awkward geek who just became CEO. He needs some help finding his Alpha, proving he can run the company and changing policy. Who better to rebrand him then sexy pr rep Holly.
Holly needs the money, can she fight her attraction to Ben in order to help him bring out his stronger, less socially awkward side?
This was a great read. Ben is fantastic is his geeky awkwardness. Ben's dad is a class A jerk. Making the story move along great with an interesting plot. The steam factor is pretty hot too!
I'd love to see a book each for mariem and Parker.

What a fun story! I could have done without the dig at Fifty Shades, but that's just me. I truly enjoyed the banter between Holly and Ben. And Ben? Good God, what a solid man. He was simply great. No two words about it. I loved everything he stood for, and how he didn't let himself be intimidated. What about Holly? I loved that she was strong and knew what she wanted. I also loved that she too underwent a transformation and became a better version of herself. As for Parker and Miriam, I loved that they were the voices of reason for Holly and Ben. I hope they end up together....just adding my two cents. And that epilogue...makes me thirsty for more. He he :)

These characters...the way they confront each other and slowly learn about how to work with each other while trying to fight their desires, it's sexy as ever. They were well developed with their own little quirks and sense of humor. It was a wonderful read and I can see myself reading it again.

Loved Ben! Would love to meet him in real life!!! This was such a funny and romantic and steamy book.
The banter between Ben and Holly was so comical and the attraction between them was intense.
Holly saves Ben from an over eager sales woman at a furniture store. Then Ben needs Holly's business services in order to learn how to go from geek to CEO. Holly was wary because he ex-husband was a business man who did not want her to have a career. Holly was afraid that that was the type of person Ben was going to turn into. However, Ben transformed himself into the CEO that is NOT his father.
It was a great book. I love all of Tawna's stories. Romantic comedies are wonderful and lighthearted.

Tawna Fenske definitely brings the heat-and the laughs-with The Fix Up. I love all of her books and this one is no exception. Sexy, funny, and smart characters, situations that are both realistic and hilariously funny, and some serious heat-in the conference room, in the car, in the living room, the dressing room....well, you get the picture. A must read for anyone that loves to read sizzling scenes on one page and then laugh out loud at the next. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!
