Very Good Quality - Few Reviews Available but Worth the Buy

Capacity: 12GB RAM + 512GB PCIe SSDVerified Purchase

The audio output is poor, but this can be fixed with a speaker of some sort. My intended use is regular school and home use (email, MS products, browsing, shopping, social media, etc) as well as running software as needed for school (eg MATLAB, SolidWorks). While I have not yet ran any major engineering/computational software, I have played around with the MS Power Automate on this laptop and I saw nothing majorly concerning. Power Automate seems pretty hefty as a software and there was some lag between windows in the software, but I did not see this lag affect performance of anything else (such as browser speed). I think it would stand up decently to gaming, but can’t speak much to that. Audio quality would probably suck if you watch a lot of anime or movies so once again, speakers are a good investment. All in all, I really enjoy the laptop. It was a good price for an i5 core (upgrading from a laggy i3), and it’s nice for students. If you have MS, HS or college kids, relatives, friends — this is a good investment. Again I will see how it holds up against my engineering software, but I have high hopes considering the RAM availability on the laptop. It’s very light (I’m upgrading from a heavy 17incher so I’m very pleased at how portable it is). I’ve used Discord on it with no issues, both on web and in-app. My browser always loads quickly. I have not used the camera yet so I can’t speak on that. One thing I’m getting used to is Windows 11 — it seems like everything defaults to OneDrive and doesn’t actually store on the laptop? I’m not sure but I guess word of caution to where you save important files. I had no issues connecting to home wi-fi. I’ve seen mixed reviews on Lenovo but this is my second laptop with them and I haven’t had any problems. (Well, except the annoying McAfee reminders that interrupt your workflow). There were very few reviews available so it was a risky play buying it, but honestly, I have not been disappointed. I haven’t gotten extensive use out of the laptop, since I haven’t started school again yet, but I would happily give this 5/5 stars (as of 9/2022).

Hard drive failed in less than 1 year and is not being detected in bios or by windows. Tried reinstalling windows via a usb drive and that failed as well since hard drive has failed. This Lenovo laptop they sold me was likely not even a new computer but they sold it as new instead of selling it as refurbished. The seller ignored my complaint and told me to contact hp support...are you kidding me...this is a lenovo laptop ...why should i contact hp support...it is not an hp laptop. Does the seller want to make a joke and send me to HP. Stay away from this seller unless you want a disposable laptop to throw away in less than 1 year. I will call amazon support and escalate as it is not right to sell defective products knowingly and then ignore the customer. Will redflag this seller and never purchase anything from them again

Let me just say that I bought 2 laptops before settling on this one. I needed a good laptop but I didn't want to pay a lot of money. This one fit the bill. It's well put together, it's very responsive. I can watch a movie and work on an excel spreadsheet at the same time with no issues. The display is good. The only complaint I have are the speakers but I bought a cheap speaker that can connect via Bluetooth to solve that problem.

This machine did not work. Purchasing it was a complete waste of my time. I don’t understand how a product of such poor quality can be sold on the Lenovo store.

Upon turning on the laptop, I was prompted for login credentials for an Other User. How can that be? I was given no login credentials and this was supposed to be a new device.

I have been an Amazon customer for many years and shame on me for never having left a review before. This was such a disappointing purchase I felt a responsibility to share my experience, so no other will repeat it.
