So sorry Mr Zelanzy is deceased. I love his science fiction and fantasy novels and short stories. He writes in a poetic manner.

The description shown discredits the scope of this book, being just two vignettes of the wide scope of plausible disasters that could be caused by a coronal mass ejection. It's a good read, with much food for thought.
I haven't bought this book from Amazon, but I have read it several times.
