After I read that sample and saw how alpha one of the heroes was, I knew I was going to love reading him. Before the h learns his name, she calls him 'Conan' and that was so apt for him. I love a hero like that, all big and brooding and not much with words; a guy who tosses the h over his shoulder, with a slap to her azz. Graham was just my type. The other hero was sexy, too. Maybe not quite as full-on as Graham, Zach's alpha as well. Just a little more smooth with his easy Southern charm. There's no m/m action in this. Both guys are best friends and like brothers to each other. Both have always liked to share, and think the heroine might be the one for both of them together.
Sex was really hot. The romance seemed to be quick, but hey, it might be the end of the world as they know it, so why not go with it and have a hot ménage? I went with it and really enjoyed it. I did want to know more about what had caused things to go off-grid; was it terrorism, or some cosmic event? But I guess more will develop on that, and about the other characters living in this hunting camp in the Michigan woods. Looking forward to that. There's more for the author to do here. The epilogue totally sets up more action to come for everyone at the camp. If this is the author's first book, she did a great job.
This one is definitely different than most of her books but I enjoyed it all the same! Wish she would revisit the menage again in some of her books...
Totally entertaining and engaging story. The overall story is well laid out and came alive. Plus then the relationship aspect of the story was hot and totally worked!! Loved it. Don't hesitate!!!
I loved that this book focuses on the strong female character that Rowan is. After rumors fly, her professional life is a disaster and the world is ending.. what does she do? Packs a bag, throws on her hiking boots, and deals with everything that gets in her way, including a ménage with Zach and Graham.
Yes.. This book is STEAMING. Holy cow, HOT! One of the sexiest books I've read. Meghan allows up to see the interactions from each character making the book so much more. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for this Whitetail ranch.
This story begins with the end of the world...literally. After watching a plane crash into a building in downtown Chicago and seeing everything with electrical parts stop, Rowan knows her crazy father may not have been so crazy after all and it is time to get out of dodge.
Traveling alone to reach her family, Rowan finds herself running for her life and straight into the arms of a mountain and a man.
The next thing she knows, she is in some kind of compound and Graham and his friend Zach are making her a proposition Rowan is finding it hard to resist.
This was a different kind of story with plenty of steamy action. It is fast paced and kept me guessing what would happen next. I would have liked a little more character development and less of a cliffhanger ending but otherwise it was an enjoyable ménage story.
POV: switches between characters throughout
Quick hook or slow starter? 5 (I was hooked from the first chapter)
Character development: 3
Level of Romance between characters: 3.5
Passion/Heat level: 4.5 (there is a lot of sex, all ménage...well written and steamy)
Angst/Heartbreak: 3.5 (a little toward the end but nothing too crazy)
Cliffhanger?: Not huge but definitely leaves the story hanging.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a steamy ménage that is a little different from the rest.
