Product Description

Now kids can exercise their math skills on Kindle - anytime, anywhere.

Flash Cards: Basic Math for Kids helps your child learn basic arithmetic by giving them practice doing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are five difficulty levels designed around common arithmetic learning concepts that progress from single digit operations with no regrouping to double digit problems with regrouping. There are three different modes of play you choose from depending on your confidence with the material: You can use the cards as a study guide to introduce a concept, practice with multiple-choice answers, and progress to fill in the answer directly.

To give students timely feedback, correct answers are acknowledged and incorrect answers are corrected immediately upon submitting an answer. A high score table tracks your ten highest scores to help you track your progress and improvement.

Turn Kindle into a basic math learning device today!

4.0 out of 5 stars You gotta use the BACK key !!!!! September 12, 2011
Verified Purchase
I just downloaded this for my third grader and spent a frustrating hour trying to figure out how to get to the main menu if you want to stop a session and start a new one. The trick is to use the BACK key. This is mentioned no where. It would have been far more intuitive if the software guru's had put this option up into the drop-down list when one presses the MENU key.

5.0 out of 5 stars WAY more than what you pay for... June 11, 2012

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for in a flash card application. For .99 you really can't go wrong. I would have paid $10.00 for this application. It does just what it says it does. My kids LOVE using it. The novelty has yet to wear off. [I have a 5th grader, a 3rd grader, and a Kindergartener that all use it.] And, the best part, they are learning their math facts from using this application.

It may not be perfect--one needs to learn the programs in's and out's, but it is much better than most of the alternatives and well worth the buck that I paid for it. I have not had any technical issues as one reviewer has. The program has worked flawlessly on my Kindle 3G.

I could not be happier with the decision to purchase this application and I feel that I received great value for my money and my children receive great value for the time the put into it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great basic mental math review for ANYONE September 16, 2011
Verified Purchase
I've fiercely resisted buying any "games" for my Kindle because:

1) It's a device designed just for reading. Nothing else.

2) Since it's designed for reading and not designed for heavy input from the user, I'm concerned that over-using those little key buttons will either break them, or at the very least wear the letters off.

Those caveats aside, I couldn't resist downloading this program, because I'm always looking for a quick and handy way to review basic math facts. Like doing a bit of physical exercise each day, I think doing a bit of mental exercise each day can really help most anyone.

I find this program very easy to use, and with multiple levels of difficulty, it should appeal to just about any age group. A set of twenty five problems is just right for me to get
a quick mental workout.

I'm an older person with glasses, and I think the fonts & size of text that the programmers used here are fine (just look at the screen shots).

So far, the program hasn't crashed on me.

And come on, we're talking JUST 99 cents here! Just reading this review took up at least 99 cents of your time.

Thank you, Digi Ronin Games!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for home and classroom! April 15, 2011

I really love it, I let one student try it today and the others around
him were begging me for a turn :) I was actually sad to see you didn't
have more programs. I also like how I can use the same program at home
with my 1st grader, he could easily practice his addition and
subtraction without much of my assistance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good math workout! June 3, 2013

Love the math flash cards. My 10 year old grand-daughter has to practise her math facts every day for homework. Naturally this was a chore to get done . However with the flash cards she can choose levels and do them quickly without me constantly standing over her. Its easy to check her progress by checking the stats! Love it !!

5.0 out of 5 stars i think these rock - and so does my son April 8, 2011

I bought these for my son, who is in second grade and so far he loves them! He won't stop playing, so I'm trilled - I'd much rather he 'play' with math than on some video game!

We haven't had any of the problems described by the other reviewer.
