I actually liked this. I try to write things down during the day, so I know what I eat, but this makes it very convenient, and gives you some guidance. For example, there is a place on every meal to note which item was the MUFA (Monounsaturated Fat), what time you ate and a rating for how hungry you were before/after.

On the next page, there is a section for writing how you feel, and if you did any of the recommended workouts. I used this to note when I went to the gym, and what I did. I also scribbled in my blood pressure, and the number of steps on my pedometer.

I definitely found this worth the money, and bought 2 more (for my sister and my friend).

This diet has been great so far, but I'm only in my 6th day and I've lost 5.8 lbs. so far. I don't feel hungry at all! The big thing is that I used to get tired everyday and just wanted to go to sleep while working on the computer and since I've started this diet I don't feel tired at all, all day long, I have more energy and the will to work, I own my own brick & mortar business, ebay business and a website and I'm the only one that works it all and now I can actually get alot of work done in one day! The best diet journal I have ever used ( and i have designed a few myself and prefer this one over the ones my company made ) The advice in the beginning is well written and helpful, and just short enough to bear reading. The journal pages start with a jump start 4 day plan that is very helpful to put you in the right mind set and gives you cute daily tips. The normal diet pages to record what you eat are great because there is plenty of room to record what you eat (which usually isnt the case) The other part of your daily recording is a journal page with some helpful topics, if its not your thing then you can skip this book, its all about motivating yourself to stick to the diet. After the first 4 weeks the journal pages are just blank so you can record whatever seems relevent to you.

It asks me questions that I thought I wouldn't be able to answer (I cheated and read ahead)...but when I got to that day of my new eating habits, I was able to write down my thoughts with ease. The Flat Belly Diet Journal is a helful companion to the FBD diet. I rather liked it as it was more solid with less explanation than the book itself. It has much of the same information without the long winded details. If you want a choice, go for the book, as it has the instructions for the jounal. For a quick guide this is better.

This arrived in brand new condition. I don't stay on a diet unless I Journal because it causes awareness and keeps me accountable to my program. This Journal is nice because it has a wire spiral and will lay flat. I keep it open in a place I see often, in my case the kitchen, to remind myself that I have committed to myself a good program....so... I will follow it. I am trying it using other Flat Belly books and hope this awareness will remain after the diet is complete and successful, if not, out it comes again!

I like the diet and it works! I was able to lose 40 lbs over a 6 month period. By following the diet parameters, I lost a pound about every 2-3 days. The journal just wasn't necessary. I found 'My Fitness Pal' application for my iPod was a whole lot easier and better.
