I felt the book jumped from one subject or one time period to another to much making it a hard read.

This book is well formatted to bring all of history together for the reader. My ancestor was one of these founding fathers so my research was most enjoyable and to read of all the surrounding information of that era. A must read for all interested in the history of Brooklyn.

I so wanted this to be good. But it wasn't. The book was repetitive and poorly organized. Some material was recounted several times. The pictures were good and there were a lot of new (to me) and interesting facts presented. It was difficult to get past the poor organization of the text to enjoy the history.
