My last peppermint extract was one of the victims of my last move, so I had been meaning to purchase more, since it seems to come up, a lot, in the recipes I come across. I chose this particular item because of the amazing reviews, and I'm happy to report that I wasn't disappointed.
This extract smells amazing, the second you open the bottle. I've used this extract in desserts and body products, and both the taste and scent are amazing. I was worried that the scent would come off as an unpleasantly harsh peppermint (my last one was good, but not great), but it kind of has a sweetness to it that makes it smell heavenly.
I used some in a peppermint bark popcorn recipe, over the holidays, and it turned out amazing; if any dish tastes like eating Christmas, that would be it. The small amount of extract that I added infused every bit of it with an intense peppermint flavor.
The only downside I can think of is that a dropper is not included, but I don't really mind. I don't think I could ask for a better peppermint extract.
