Yes. Very unconventional.

Flawed is a book totally outside my comfort zone. Therefore, in my willingness to support this author, who had created one of my most flawed fictional characters, Dominic, in her book Monster, I downloaded the book, upon its release. Yes, downloaded and immediately put in cloud, intending to never ever read a word of its content. But, even with is unusual action, I still got a very detailed glimpse into the pages of this book through the eyes of my reading partner. I had advised "Nell's", my reading partner, that I did not think I wanted to remove my "rose colored" glasses in order to read this type of story. She immediately said she would 'take one for the team' and read for both of us. She kept her promise! Too well! Her detailed chapter by chapter excerpts kept me on the edge of my seat. So much so that I harassed her minute by minute to read faster! I couldn't get enough. Me, the light romance reader was caught up in the hell that dwelled within one Knox Bishop and in turn introduced into the life of one Ms. Lacey Barnes. Yes, caught up to the very last word, in the very last paragraph.

Her excerpts were so potent that I snatched off my rose tinted glasses, downloaded Flawed from Cloud and jumped feet first into the dark abyss of another flawed character created from the vivid and talented imagination of Ms. Francette Phal. I needed to experience this read for myself!

Damn he, Knox, is something else. But I cannot muster up any sympathy towards him at all. In the book, Monster, I sympathized with Dominic and she made us fall in love with him, in spite of ourselves. I feel nothing for Knox. I just want to have his life snuffed out. He has shown me no redeeming qualities.

I won't give anything away of this story, I will say it Has to be "experienced". How this story is weaved and the darkness inside I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it because I'm the Queen of HEA, but I will say this book has me discombobulated!! It's. SO Good! And truthfully they're relationship is only just beginning. I can't wait to get more of the backstory on Knox and I like that he's making Lacey face who she is and why she is the way she is. I will be interested to read if her mom plays a bigger role and where exactly she was and what the "lullaby" connection is between Knox & Lacey if there Is one. So much to wait for. Not sure when the next installment will hit but this was well worth the wait.

What do you get when you have a psycho serial killer, a proustite, and a Russian Crime family?? One seriously deranged, sinister yet poetic tale from the dark side. This is the story of those we choose not to see, we turn our heads and pretend they don't exist but I can assure you such depravity does exist. This is their world and you will be transported into it..... It's a nightmare that is pure genius. To simply say, it is twisted and dark does not do it justice.. It is brilliant and unique. It makes no sense for me to tell you what this book is about, you probably wouldn't believe me anyway. You need to experience it for yourself. It's indescribable. Just know, it should come with a warning.... If you are looking for tenderness, butterflies and sweet candy-coated words look somewhere else... There is no making love... This dark erotica at it's best!

The main character Knox, the serial killer, you are meant to be deadly afraid of him, but you will find yourself craving him. He's the guy you know you should hate... But you are drawn to him, like a lamb to the slaughter. He is by far the most unique and complex character I have ever read about. He is unpredictable and merciless. Getting into his mind has been surreal. The entire book is filled with baleful characters. Each of them F*cked up for one reason or another. This is the survival of the fittest.

Then there is Katia. She another force to be reckoned with... She makes Lizzie Borden look like Mary Poppins next to her. Her savagery knows no bounds. Beautiful on the outside, black on the inside. I might be more afraid of her than Knox.... With every paged turned, you will need to know more. The story evolves with little crumbs of information.... The more you gobble up the more you want.

Can I just say I haven't read a dark twisted book in such a long time that this one blew me to smithereens. Completely utterly mind-blowing insanely good. What a well written book. Dam this author had to have delve deep to create this psycho Knox. The way this man, thinks they way he treats his victims they way he preys upon the unsuspecting victims dam!! I think i must have locked by bedroom doors for the fear of this monster entering in. I can't even find the words to describe this character maybe callous, impassive, devoid.
Definitely not for the weak hearted dam!!! What the hell did I just read.
Meet lacey and Knox Both of them have endured so many unspeakable things that their outlet for their f%#¥ up situations resorted them to do unspeakable things.
It's one thing to worry about people who clearly don't feel the same way about you but Lacey's family is damn so selfish they take take take. How much more can this poor girl endure. Apparently not enough because Dante who is the screw up dumb brother may have eaten More than he can chew and who to there to his rescue from his many screw ups lacey...Now upon her meeting Knox this poor girl life turn for the worse sleeping in bed with the dark, twisted, tormented, ruthless Knox....
She feels worthless helpless and he crave that he craved punishment, he prey on the innocent, he takes U and break you down.. ...Poor poor girl. Always giving to taking care of others, but who will take care of her?
Knox now he is definitely 100 shades of f&@$ up .. Ruthless doesn't do him justice. Hiding in plain sight undetected by others. Not knowing that underneath lies one of most cruel and demented person you may ever come across.
I commented this author on writing this tale she took a gamble and have done and remarkable job...
