Seems like it really is all about the money.
Flawed is darker than dark so be warned. It's not for the reader with triggers. This is definitely a story for mature readers who can handle many type of relationship. It's so wonderfully dark and delicious. The characters Knox and Lacey are complicated to say the least. Knox is a complication and his relationship with his adoptive family yields more questions than answers. The two complicated relationships come to a head in the darkest and most delicious way!
5+ stars for this phenomenal story! Story ends on a crazy dark cliffhanger so prepare yourself!
This author, this book, will threaten your comfort level! And I loved it. Call me deranged. But I can understand the way she connects various aspects of addiction, abuse, sex and the complexity of human emotions. This book can be used in a sociology and psychology class. Whew!
Now the main characters. I hated that I had to wait about 30% in the book for Lacey and Knox to meet. But damn, when they did finally meet. I was like, yesss! No doubt, Knox is an evil, abusive, sick bastard. But, I love him. I love him for his honesty, his craziness. I love him for Lacey. Lacey ain't too sane either. They were/are both affected deeply, harshly by their childhood tragedies. But, my goodness, I ache for Lacey. She is in a constant cycle of being taken for granted. But she is resilient!
I don't know if this series will be a HEA. Oh and Katia is such a naughty delicious adversary. But, I do know Knox is one pissed-off serial killer and I look forward to reading how he get his revenge.
