Our secondary use is also for walking around during the day and protect from light. It does the job of keeping very dark, but still not comfortable for extended wear but OK for short duration - all depends on you. It's light weight, but I think if the whole thing is made out of cloth would be lighter than it.
I could see this be useful for other purposes, but not what we need. Cheap enough to use as a disposal patch.
When I have the patch on the only way I can get it to stay in place has the band crossing right on top of my eyebrow on the other side and then it falls down into my eye after a bit.
It may be an eye patch but it's not usable.
A friend told me that if I used a patch on the eye not being exercised it would allow that eye to relax and make the exercise more effective.
I bought the one size fits all (I am 6'1"), it was inexpensive and it works just fine. I recommend it for anyone doing eye exercises.
It is made of carton, it is tough and REALLY uncomfortable. Even worse if you plan on using them with glasses, since they stick out and don't let you put them on.
But even if you don't wear glasses, they are horribly hard and cheaply made. I would have gained the same quality from cutting a piece of cardboard box and uniting it with rubber bands.
Botton line, don't buy it.
The bad: Doesn't block all the light because it is stiff in its shape and doesn't fit precisely, depending on shape of face and nose. But I am using it primarily to block vision, not total light, for strengthening my weaker eye with some adult amblyopia exercises. So for that use, it's fine.

Good patches and will last for many uses. If your covered eye is open though you will have a little light seep through. They are durable and have room for dressing underneath. Read morePublished 1 month ago by r flores

Not a very sturdy patch, Bought this for a friend after eye surgery and was hoping it would be a bit more protective and not so easily mangled. This did not keep very well. Read morePublished 2 months ago by CholyFlower
