I grew up in London, close to Richmond Park - a beautiful deer park big enough to get lost in, where I got to know lots of the characters who have since popped up in my stories and poems.

I have always loved writing - I enjoy the sound and rhythm of words, and many of my poems for children have been published in anthologies. My One Week of Poems series of short ebooks covers Christmas, dinosaur, garden, space, football and spooky poems, which are gathered together in the One Week of Poems Box Set. The most recent books in the series are One Week of Seaside Poems and One Week of Pirate Poems.

When I had my children I started writing stories for picture books, and my first book, Fred and the Little Egg, was published in 2005. Since then I have written lots of stories about animals including rabbits, mules, dragons, hedgehogs, squirrels, mice and a kind-hearted but easily confused fox. My latest picture book, the rhyming bedtime book Sweet Dreaming, is the first to feature a child as the main character.

I have been lucky enough to work with some wonderful illustrators, and my books have been published in many languages.

Oh my goodness, this is just the cutest book with the most charming and heartwarming story! Fletcher the fox has a special tree outside his den that he loves to visit and he doesn't understand why its leaves are falling so he tries desperately to save the tree's leaves but of course, he is unsuccessful. The day after the last leaf has fallen off the tree by quite literally blowing out of his hand as he was trying to hold it down on the branch, the first snow falls and blankets the tree with glistening icicles that Fletcher thinks are beautiful and he is no longer sad the tree has lost all of its leaves.

My five-year-old son and I absolutely love this book! The illustrations are just as beautiful as and the storyline and we have managed to read it 3 times this fall since getting it. I love getting books that correspond to the seasons and this one more than fit the bill! I would read this book to a child anywhere from 2 years old to 8 years old. I think it is simple and makes your heart ache for poor Fletcher who just doesn't understand what is happening to his beloved tree which really inspires empathy.

Adorable book about a fox trying to save the leaves onto a tree. It really can help kids process that autumn is a natural phenomena and enables other beautiful things in wintertime. My only complaint is that the book should have also showed the tree come back to life in spring to give that full circle feeling.

We own lots of children's books, which we have gotten for our 1 year old. Every now and then we come across a book that has a truly unique storyline. This is one of those books. The story is of a little fox who is trying to help his favorite tree who is loosing its leaves (in reality it's autumn, a concept the little fox doesn't quite understand). The little fox has the same spirit of a little kid in this heartwarming tale. The book has a feel good ending which is absolutely magical. Definitely a must read.

This is such a beautiful book. Fletcher is a sweet little fox who is concerned about the leaves fallign off of his favorite tree. Of course, in fall there is no way to prevent the fallin of leaves, but Fletcher is happily surprised when winter comes and icicles are hanging from his favorite tree.

I love reading this book to my kids and talking about the changing seasons. We also talk about how change is scary soemtimes, but often it brings something new and equally beautiful.

This is a true fall book gem.

Oh how we love Fletcher! This sweet little fox has the sweetest heart and is always so concerned with nature. Here he is worried about the leaves that are falling from the trees as the seasons are changing. He doesn't want them to be lonely, you see and he thinks they will get lost and feel alone. So he does all he can to help the leaves stay on the trees until he finally understands that each season has a purpose and nature has a way of knowing what it is doing. What he sees when all of the trees finally all fall will amaze you. We read these book over and over and it is always a favorite in our home!
