For year's I always heard the term "macro's" and "micros" when I was lifting but had no idea what that meant. So a gal who owns Bliss Fit told me about this book by Krissy to get a better idea what macro's were and it broke it down so simply and the whole idea of flexible nutrition and not being so hard on IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macro's). It's ok to have a doughnut while being flexible so we don't completely fall off the wagon as one doughnut isn't going to kill all progress! Macro's = Fats, Carbs, and Protein and it's that simple! Very good read by Krissy who is very knowledgeable backed up with research by those who are in the industry and year's of personal ups and downs! GET THE BOOK! You won't be disappointed!
So glad to have a hard copy of this book. I've studied and implemented various nutritional approaches over the years, and the flexible dieting approach has provided me with the tools that have resulted in the most success. I'm not only getting leaner while staying strong with this approach, but I'm repairing my relationship with food and have stopped demonizing certain macronutrient categories. Even though there seems to be a lot of flexible dieting professionals these days, Krissy Mae Kagney gave me my first real education on the topic through her social media posts. I enjoy what she has to teach and how she teaches it.
3 chapters in and this book is blowing my mind. The author, Krissy Mae Cagney does a fantastic job of presenting nutrition to everyone from athletes starting out, seasoned athletes & regular, everyday people.
I haven’t started reading this yet. Every page is filled with hexagons in the background of the text. Totally distracting. This is about to annoy the crap out of me. I was really looking forward to reading this.
Krissy is wonderful. Way to change up my idea of what I should and shouldn't be eating! It has changed my life and because of Krissy and another coach I've been able to lose 50lbs and keep it off for over a year!
I LOVE this book! Ive been trying to figure out how to allocate my macros throughout the day and around my training and really how MUCH to ingest (because leave me to my own devices and I could eat an entire grocery store in one sitting). This book says it all. And while theres always those famous words, "It depends", this book gets you about as close as you can get to the "answer". She tells you how to figure out your base macros and then nutrient timing, goes on to discuss refeeds and pretty much answers any questions Ive really had about the whole Flexible dieting thing. AND she's living proof of what she preaches. Which is awesome and motivating to see. Krissy is real, honest, and straight forward. There's a lot of information out there. So much so that its very overwhelming and can be contradicting. This books lays it out. Every question has been answered and I'm sure if you have more you could shoot her an e-mail. Ive highlighted the crap out of this book- so THANK YOU Krissy for making it a book someone can touch and feel. I really dislike e-books. Especially with important information like this. So so sooooo happy with this purchase!
