A good book…has lots of information. It is very good per the number of images provided. Worthwhile, but did not live up to my expectations.

When I read this book it made me wonder how many times the first owners of my old radio heard true history thru it.

This book contains a bit of history about radio, tv and some ham equipment of this era. On the negative side, the book include many picture but most of them are too small and only in black & white. Despite its weakness I have enjoy reading the book.

This book was the best reference for 1930-1950 radio equipment when it was released back in 1975, and it is still unequalled for it's general coverage of collectible radios and the radio collecting hobby. Prices mentioned in the chapter on collecting are way out of date, but this isn't focused on being a price guide. This is focused on providing lots of photos along with basic information about lots of old radios, and so it is a good book for anyone interested in seeing a good sampling of what is out there to collect.
