Book 1 read smoothly enough. I don't know if I'd call it a "couldn't put it down", but it kept my interest focused enough that when I finished it, I decided to give book 2 a try. There's a hint at romance in book 1, but since I'm more interested in the story (vs a book that's all about the sex), that was fine with me. We'll see what happens in book 2!
Can't say I would continue to follow the series but I am sure the books will appeal to other readers as the actual story is pretty good and others might find the characters and world building issues are not a problem for them.
Looking forward to the next book in April.
Awesome read, already pre-ordered the next one.
