The next international trip I went on, I grabbed it to see if it made a difference. And, to but it bluntly, I cannot travel without this anymore. It fits easily in the seat back pocket and can hold my passport, boarding passes, a pen (for that pesky immigration paperwork), my wallet, headphones, my mobile phone, sleep shades, a travel toothbrush/toothpaste, and my reading glasses. No more digging through my backpack disturbing my seat neighbors and I know everything should be in one place, so I can take inventory quickly before leaving the plane. When I hit hotels, airline counters, immigration, customers, or tax refund places, I know everything I need is in my seat pack. It is well made (no loose threads or sticky zippers) and large enough to hold a boarding pass without bending it.
Just as an FYI: I bought a bright blue one so I could find it easily when the lights on the plane were out.
I put all important items in specific pockets and made sure to always return them to the exact same place! My fellow chaperones and occasionally students (yikes), would be scrambling during our frequent passport checks, but I always knew where mine was (in the large pocket on the back :). Same went for my: phone, cords, camera, small wallet, headphones, etc.
As a chaperone, I did not want to be pawing through my backpack constantly or feeling disorganized in a foreign country, when I should be tending to children! For me, it was a great purchase that I can see using again and again!
