I have been using MailDroid for about 3 weeks and it operates flawlessly. HOWEVER, when I 1st downloaded it from the Kindle Fire Store it crashed when trying to forward or reply to an email, as several other reviewers have commented. I emailed the developer and within 3 minutes he responded. It appears that the download package is corrupted. The problem was corrected by deleting the app, downloading it from slideme.org and sideloading it to the Fire. All is now good. This is an excellent mail app that is a significant improvement over the standard email client pre-installed on the Fire. BTW, I notified Kindle Fire support of the corruption problem about a week ago. They thanked me and said they were forwarding my email to the appropriate support department. Apparently, they have not corrected the problem yet.

I absolutely love this app. You are able to view multiple email accounts (from different providers- Yahoo!, Gmail, etc). I like that with one app I can easily view and manage my email accounts. You can also choose to view each account individually. The screen controls are easy to use. I have this loaded on my Kindle Fire and haven't had any complaints.

I found this to be an excellent mail app, until you try to reply to an email. This version (2.77) will crash if you try to reply to an email.

However, the current version of this App is 2.94, which fixes the issue. But for some reason the publisher has decided NOT to update it on Amazon. So, if you wish to use MailDroid, the publisher recommends you go to slideme.org and download it from there, which is annoying. Since I have "purchased" this free app from the Amazon store, my Kindle Fire keeps wanting to update it, since the version does not match Amazon, but be warned, DO NOT UPDATE it, or you will lose all your settings.

This would have gotten 5 stars if they would update it on Amazon--it is essentially useless in its current state, but side loading it from slideme.org makes it the ultimate choice.

This is a great email app for my preferences. It works, and it gives me all (or almost all) the setup options I want, including a Dark display option. I only have two cons to list:

1. The message list screen in the newer versions is a step down - too much whitespace, and that bright blue subject line is a bit much.

2. I will NOT buy the pro version. $14.99 is WAY more than I paid for Aquamail Pro, which I happen to like better. In fact the most I've ever paid for any android app was 6 bucks for Titanium Backup Pro, and that jewel is more than worth the price.

I didn't have this on my phone for long, so I don't know if there are any features of merit. But it failed at the one feature that I need most. I have hierarchically arranged IMAP folders, and I need to navigate them as a tree. This is something that the basic mail app does well enough, except that the basic mail app has a problem maintaining the folder listings--which is why I'm bothering to look for other IMAP clients at all.

So, it's really sad that these supposedly improved mail apps only show IMAP folders as a flat list, and that is a real problem when the list is particularly long. What I really want is a client that can navigate an IMAP folder tree as a tree and remember how the tree is expanded from use to use. Pity, I've not yet found an Android app that comes anywhere close.

I want very badly to give this app five stars. It has some common sense features like custom folders that other email apps defy all reason in not having. I also like how despite the feature being difficult to find, you can even create custom rules so mail goes to whatever folder you desire automatically. However, it has one flaw that's extremely difficult to ignore as it's a vital feature of any email app: I can't send emails.
I was able to send a test email just fine, but since then if I start writing an email I get booted to a different screen after a few seconds. I spent about ten minutes trying to reply to an email this morning before just giving up and going to Outlook on my PC, which I was hoping this app would negate the need for.

I downloaded this APP for my Kindle Fire it downloads mail fine. When you reply or forward a message the APP chashes.
I found a obscure forum message of someone complaining about the same issues two years ago. The writter recommended that the APP be erased and downloaded from a different location. I tried it, it works great!!! So the version on GOOGLE PLAY get 1 star. The version on SlideME.org gets 5 stars

This is such a nice app with so many nice features. Unfortunately, it has one fatal flaw: It won't let you answer an email!!!! You go to answer and begin to type and the next thing you know you're shunted off to another screen. And apparently this app has been broken like that for many months without being fixed! Admittedly it's free (with ads), but crippled like that it's still overpriced since it wastes your time. As it stands, this app is a disgrace to both its developers and the Amazon Android app store.
