I am a professional auto mechanic. I've owned this ratchet for several years and couldn't be happier with it. The first thing you will notice is how much quieter it is than other air ratchets. This quietness is somehow achieved without a loss in power. It has excellent torque for a 1/4 inch ratchet. The reverse mechanism works great with a flick of the thumb. Forget about the dreaded "head split". It won't happen. The only negatives I can see are that it is somewhat bulky compared to similar ratchets, and the torque adjustment lever(a great feature) is a bit hard to move. I would rather have the lever be too tight than too loose, though. Bottom line: This ratchet outperforms and outlasts other ratchets at three times its price.

I bought this as a back up for my snap on ratchet because I had to send send snap on out for rebuild. I wasn't expecting much but WOW I was surprised. It's faster, more torquie, and quieter than my snap on ratchet. This is now my main ratchet. Love it!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this air ratchet by accident. I have been using this made in japan air ratchet at the shop for over 2 years and it's still going strong. Needless to say, my snapon 1/4 has been collecting dust in my tool box. Best part of this ratchet is how quiet and comfortable it is. great power too, I don't even set my to max.

Oh where to start, oh I know. Awesome Awesome Awesome..... Ok now that I have regained my composer. This is truly the cats meow of 1/4" ratchets. It's build quality is everything I would expect from something out of Japan. It is easy to hold and smoking fast. I have been using a 3/8" air ratchet and this thing did a smack down right out of the box. My poor 3/8" ratchet hung it's head in shame and ducked for the nearest exit never to be seen again. The forward and reverse buttons are sooooo much better than the old head style. I don't even have to look at the thing to know what direction it's going. Once you have used it for a bit you just remember what button does what direction. It has a nice grip and is simply easy to hold. This ratchet will be a treasure for some time. Oh did I say it was Awesome?

I would stack this 1\4 inch stubby against Ingersoll anyday. The power from this small of a footprint was remarkable as well as the finger tip controls. This 1/4 inch ratchet is manufactured in Japan, so it's no wonder. The 3/8 drive is manufactured in Taiwan. My mechanic buddy purchased the 1/4 inch and the 3/8 inch upon using my 1/4 inch. Sorry to report, he loves the 1/4 inch but returned the 3/8 inch. No surprise here!

Purchased 2 months ago, and so far this has exceeded all expectations. The quick change feature comes in handy, and the max torque is just right for a 1/4 inch air ratchet and can be adjusted to way below what anybody would need. I'll update this review later if any problems arise, but for a few more dollars than a Horrible Freight air ratchet I would recommend it.

Well I had a Mac 1/4 air ratchet that lasted me over 20 years so cannot complain at all. So after doing a lot of research I came across this Florida Pneumatic and I thought the design was really nice with the toggle switches and a torque knob that can adjust from min to max torque. The feel of it in my hands is great with the rubber like hand grip. I have been solely using this 1/4 air ratchet since it has as much if not more torque than my 3/8 air ratchet does. It's size is perfect for getting into tight places and no rotating knob on top to catch on something and inadvertantly cause it to change the direction of rotation when you don't want it to. Oh and it's made in Japan so should be of very good quality. I would stay away from the 1/4 wobble heads as they seem to be weak due to the wobble tip and break off. I use my air ratchet 5 days a week and all day long so it needs to be good. All in all for the price and quality build with the new style forward and reverse switches I think this is the best value out there. Thanks

Nice little ratchet but the socket won't stay on the wrench. The little hold down ball wont hold at all, very frustrating because the socket just falls off. I'm returning it, but I'm bummed out because the ratchet is nice. I read on another review the same thing but I bought it anyway, I guess I shouldn't have.
