The book covers all the essential documents & subjects associated with Florida incapacity planning in considerable detail (guardianships, POAs, Heath Care Surrogate provisions, Living Wills, Trust provisions, etc.). It also includes many of the Florida statutes associated with these documents for handy reference. Some forms are also included, but this is not written as a do-it-yourself manual - the book cautions against it. Nevertheless, it holds essential information for anyone determined to act on their own. Not only is this a valuable book that will familiarize you with the subject matter before you have a meeting with your attorney, but attorneys who do not normally practice in the field of estate planning may also find it useful.
An excellent companion book for this is Eight Easy Steps to Proper Florida Trust and Estate Planning, also by Gassman (see my review). I also recommend Estate Planning for the Florida Resident by Thomas N Silverman.
