How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

To all the classic rockers, blues lovers and sludge metallers, this album will blow you away! The best way to explain the sound of this album is the slow Sabbath/Zeppelin bluesy sound with a pinch of Chris Cornell type vocals with some harmonica thrown in. I totally dig this. Everything fits together and IMO, the sound that these guys make on FLOWER OF DISEASE is that of perfection. Check out the samples and help support the band!

This is my favorite Goatsnake album. So much more musically happens on this album then on Goatsnake's still worthy other releases. What I like about this album is the groove that combines with the typical heavy music that they pump out. I really appreciate this group and searched out a Trampled Under Hoof poster from Ebay that is proudly displayed in my Den. I've done many a search using musical algorithms using Goatsnake as a key to add titles to my doom rock collection. Goatsnake, I salute you.

Stumbles across Goatsnake while just randomly checking out stoner rock bands online, & was pleasantly surprised. They are absolutely killer, & the guitars sound ike if Kyuss tuned down more, & are sludgy/doomy in a GOOD way.

being a fan of the genre I was surprised I had never heard of them. Read this was a re-issue and that if I liked bands like Queens of the Stone Age etc it would be a good match. They were right. I look forward to tracking down their other albums. If you like swampy stoner rock this is for you!

Great bluesy 'slow n low'
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 10, 2011
Having bought Dog Days and One ages ago, and having really liked them both, I'd been meaning to get this, as the general view seemed to be it showcased Goatsnake at their best. It's definitely slicker than the earlier output, with better production, especially on the singer's voice. If you're a fan of blusey slow n low Sabbath-influenced metal, you can't really go wrong with this. The riffs aren't killer, but they groove along nicely. It knocks Electric Wizard's 'Black Mass' into a cocked hat, for instance. Wears its influences happily on its sleeve and all the better for it. Can't think of a lower tuned guitar this side of Boltthrower either. And great album artwork.
