Aroma: Vanilla, brown sugar, pear and plums (and obviously peeled grapes) among other subtle notes of wet dirt and oak.
Texture: Full-bodied and velvety in texture.
Taste: Sweetness at the tip and the center of the tongue almost immediately encountered by strong sourness on the sides of the tongue. This is soon replaced by lingering hint of sourness and bitter-sweet taste in the center of the tongue. Eventually the sourness dissipates and is replaced by mainly the sweetness of the wine, along with numbing sensation of the tannin in the back of the throat.
All in all, great wine for its price! I particularly like this type of lingering sweetness in wines, so I would rate it 5 stars for its suitability to my palate and cost-effectiveness.
