This is an excellent book, but it jumps from a very good step by step intro and complete learning of the alphabet, prefixes, suffixes and pronunciation, to a very difficult jump into a full sentence, then no english translation. I do recommend it for the alphabet, then find something else for common expressions and simple words, then come back to it.
The speakers even change pronunciation on letters that are aspirated, then non aspirated, high low tones. Then goes on to explain that Tibetans dont speak this way, and even change region to region, depending on context of the question asked. So, why go there for well over 30 pages ? This is explained AFTER hours of trying to get it right.
It is good, but learn phrases and alp j.g abet somewhere else first. This will put THAT together.
