This O-ring is made of blue fluorosilicone, is round in cross-section, has a durometer of 70A, and is designed for use in a wide variety of sealing applications.
Fluorosilicone has very good resistance to ozone, weathering, detergent, salt water, engine and transmission oil, non-petroleum brake fluid, hydraulic fluids that resist fire, vegetable and animal oils, high molecular weight chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons, and has better mineral oil, fuel, and aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene) compatibility than silicone. Fluorosilicone is acceptable for temperature applications between -100 degrees F (-73 degrees C) to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Like silicone, fluorosilicone is vulnerable to mechanical wear and tear, water and steam over 250 degrees F (121degrees C), chlorinated hydrocarbons (trichloroethylene), acids and bases, and hydrocarbon fuels.
This fluorosilicone O-ring has a shore durometer of 70A. Shore durometer is the hardness of a material, and its resistance to permanent indentation. A higher durometer value indicates greater resistance to indentation on a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 indicating no indentation.
O-rings commonly provide a pressure and fluid seal between cylindrically shaped, overlapping mating surfaces and are commonly seen in engines, faucets, flanges, valves, and various cylinders. They are circular in shape, with a round cross section and a hole in the center, similar to a doughnut. O-rings are available in various sizes, and can be ordered based on required nominal inside diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD), and cross-sectional (CS) diameter.

The item arrived quickly, as promised (I really like dealing with Small Parts, Inc), and they work very well for what I needed.
The dealership's only option is to replace the EATC, which is a >$600 part. For about an hour of my time and around ten bucks shipped (next-day w/ Amazon Prime) for these o-rings, I got an incredible deal. :) They'll fix the same problem (air only comes out defrost vent) on a lot of vehicles, since Ford used the same basic controller in the Explorer, F-150, Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, Marauder, and probably a few other cars for several years.
I purchased these for my 3-bar MAP sensors and to keep them on hand in case the original Viton O-rings failed. So far the fluorosilicone o-rings are handling 27 psi of boost without any problems.
Viton is popular because it is abrasion resistant and relatively strong, and has a high operating temperature range. However, Viton generally does not perform well below -20F and they tend to take a set in high temperature applications. Silicone has a much wider temperature range but it isn't as resilient against a lot of fuels and oils, and isn't abrasion/tear resistant - although Ford uses them for the anti-drain back valve on their engine oil filters.
Fluorosilicone combines the properties of Viton with silicone to give it outstanding cold temperature performance down to -100F and up to +350F, while being resilient against most automotive fuels and oils which happens to be the environment of the MAP sensors. I read that many fuel injectors use fluorosilicone o-rings as well, which makes sense given their application.
These were sized properly with minor variances in the outer diameter.
