This is a very good book because it makes you think. The premise is that the coastal americans, with more people, more electoral votes, and more lifestyles similarities, have walked over middle America or what Dana calls flyover nation. Flyover nation belives strongly in the second amendment, limited government, religious beliefs, and are the main reason for our current 2016 political upheaval. This book is opinion based not too many hard numbers and research like her other book. It is a must read. Don't listen to the so called reviews who have not even read the book and only have seen an interview on CNN. Don't be that guy. This is a must read because her story about growing up in "flyover" country is truly interesting and humorous!

Let's try this again. This book covers why the other 48 states are not the same as NY or DC. You see, when politicians live, eat, and breathe in DC rather than in their "hometown", DC becomes their culture. They then seem to think the rest of the USA is just like DC, hence the idiotic (not to mention unconstitutional) Federal legislation we keep seeing. This book neatly buttons up the mindset and motivations of these career politicians.

This book is fantastic! It's better than Dana's first book, "Hands off My Gun". This book is personal and Dana talks about her life growing up in Flyover Nation. As someone who lives in Flyover Nation, this books resonates with me!

While I was born on the East Coast, I have lived in "Flyover Country" for 30 years. I have worked here, been educated here, raised a family here. I served in the military here.
Dana Loesch hits the nail on the head with this book. Her assessments make the case that - despite their obvious concentrations of wealth and political power - those on the coasts are at a very real disadvantage. While they may be the part of America that is most visible to the rest of the world, they are just the shell, the skin. The heart - real American values, courage, grit, honor, integrity, and the back bone of a great nation - *that* exists only beyond the exterior.

Dana lays out a thoughtful and well-written argument for how American politics has become the mess that it is. This book is very personal but also humorous, and insightful. Worth a read, no matter what side of the political spectrum you align with.

Dana hit the nail on the head. I am also from the Ozarks. I could picture my community, neighbors and family as reading her descriptions. It brought a smile and a tear. People from flyover nation should read this to remind you that we are not forgotten, we matter & what makes your experience special. Those that don't understand the flyover nation should read this to help begin the process of understanding.

HANDS OFF MY GUN was a great book.... Flyover Nation is even better..... as a staunch "Reaganc conservative stuck in a liberal wasteland, this book completely resonates with me. Liberals ought to read the book....maybe it'll knock some sense into them.

It arrived on time, and I have read about 150 pages so far. It really is a book that I can relate to. Fact in many cases her times in growing up remembering home and her grandparents and the sounds she can recall each one of those experiences I recall myself. Fact she mentions her grandfather sitting on the recliner drinking coffee and watching wrestling. I could believe it that's exactly what my grandfather did as well. Well done book. Love the show and her Frillion different little sayings. Don't stop fighting Dana.
