Put up Focal's Twin6 Be monitors, and you'll realize why these nearfields are the best-selling studio reference monitors in Focal's entire renowned range. They boast an extremely clear, near-linear 40Hz-40kHz frequency response, which puts the Twin6 Be's sonic reach outside the range of even your own hearing. How? Focal's inverted-dome tweeter and dual-woofer technology are responsible for the magic. Expect articulate bass and midbass response, midrange neutrality, and nothing but detailed highs — in short, your Focal Twin6Be is dedicated to delivering a precision image.

Now for my review:
I switched from DynAudio BM5A to these. I've been using them for a month now, every day.
My room sounds fantastic at the exception of one thing: hole in the middle (no bass when sitting in the middle, this is a famous issue in small rooms) So when I want to hear the bass well I have to sit in the back.
That issue of hole in the middle is more a problem with the Focal than the DynAudio, probably because the bass event is in the front versus the back for DynAudio.
My first impression was that there wasn't that much different which the DynAudio, it's only after a few weeks that I started to realize how amazing they really are.
The bass is extremely precise, the DynAudio basically tell you "there is some bass in this music" while the Focal tell you "the bass is right here sir". This is all extremely well controlled.
One thing that impressed me was the high frequencies. The first week I thought they were not so good because they do not sound crazy bright like some Adam can sound. The high end is not hyped at all, at first it almost feels like you are missing some precious information about how much air there is. But in fact nope.
They caught me off guard when I started to hear some saturation in the high frequencies thinking there was something really wrong. And I could hear that in plenty of musics that I thought should not saturate. Well, turns out that most musics out there have some degree of saturation in their high end, either because of tubes, or some other equipment. It's extremely subtle, but with these speakers you actually know perfectly where and when something is saturating in the recording. Truly unbelievable.
Because of this, I think they are perfect speakers to compare tube gears e.g. or to decide which preamp you want to use based on their coloration. You won't miss these details, they really become obvious.
The mediums are very honest as well.
This is indeed a fantastic pair of speakers (they are sold by the unit like most monitors) and you don't really need my review to know that, they are highly praised everywhere people talk about them.
Note that they are quite big and heavy.
If you can afford it go ahead.
The Focal Twin6 Be really do sound amazing and are very accurate when it comes to tonally balance. They are outstanding for reference and will work great to get your mixes or mastering right. You can NEVER go wrong with Focal!!!!!!
Many people love these speakers. I would not master my work on them as I have noted that while something may sound 'great' on them, this does not transfer to other systems. In my experience, over 45 years, this translates into a problem with phase relationships in the speaker design. But I will not find out from the manufacturer as they will not respond to questions about this critical aspect.
