The most useful information in this book for me was reviews of restaurants and places to stay. I found all the recommended places to be very good and quite as they described. While I largely use on-line resources for this kind of thing, particularly TripAdvisor, the Fodor reviews are much more likely to match my expectations. I found that the information on what to do was often sketchier, which was disappointing given the limited area described. For that, I did much better hunting on line. However, if someone did not want to spend time looking on line, this book would be an good planning tool and excellent resource while in India. There's no way I would have wanted to lug physical books around, so this was worth the price to me as there weren't many e-book choices available. My only other real choice was the Lonely Planet guide. I didn't buy it, so I really can't compare.
The greatest lack in this e-book is the lack of maps and photos. It meant I rarely used it as I was actually going about my day; rather, it was what I used in planning the next day.
